'Metal Gear Solid HD Collection' is Coming to the Vita this Summer

It's not as complete a collection as other version though, and is missing 'Peace Walker.'
Vita fans are soon going to be able to get their stealth action fix with the 'Metal Gear Solid HD Collection,' a title that's been out on home consoles for a while now.
Going portable, you'd expect to lose a bit of graphical fidelity and see a drop in audio quality, but you're losing content as well. 'Metal Gear Solid 2' and 'Metal Gear Solid 3' are included but the one title actually made for a portable system, 'Peace Walker,' is absent.
Konami says you can expect the game this summer. Amazon is guessing at a $39 price point, which seems just about right.

Hideo Kojima is Working on 'Metal Gear Solid 5'

The next issue of PlayStation Official Magazine UK will have all the details, but we can glean some interesting tidbits from what's been posted.
Issue 65 of Official PlayStation Magazine UK is going to be a big one for 'Metal Gear' fans. In it, Hideo Kojima talks about 'Metal Gear 5' and the mysterious 'Project Ogre.'
The one thing that we know for sure is that Kojima will indeed be directing 'Metal Gear Solid 5' instead of leaving it to someone else like he did with 'Metal Gear Solid Rising' - the first 'Metal Gear' game without Kojima at the helm.
One other big revelation in the article is that Kojima has been trying to kill off Solid Snake for years. "Snake was supposed to die," he says. Just what that means should be interesting to find out.

'Metal Gear Solid HD Collection' Confirmed for November 8th Release

For whatever reason, our Australian friends are facing a pretty significant delay - they don't get it until February 12th.
This current gaming trend of rereleasing old games in HD is the sort of thing that just reeks of "cash grab" until you consider how badly the fans want it. Playing a standard definition 4x3 resolution game on a gorgeous 1080p widescreen television just doesn't cut it.
The latest addition to the HD classics bandwagon is the incredibly popular 'Metal Gear' series, which has been confirmed to be hitting shelves on November 8th - not too far away now. In addition to the regular edition, you can pick up a limited edition version that includes a 450 page art book.
The games in the box include 'Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance', 'Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence' and 'Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker'. Oh, and since they're inside of 'MGS 3,' you'll be getting 'Metal Gear' and 'Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake.'
