Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video have released new previews and info for several of their upcoming shows and films.
Here's a full rundown of titles scheduled to arrive on each service:
The End of the F***ing World: Season 2 (Netflix, November 5) - Alyssa (Jessica Barden, The Lobster) is still dealing with the fallout of the events of the first series. The second series sees the introduction of the new character of Bonnie, played by BIFA-winning Naomi Ackie (Lady Macbeth, the forthcoming Star Wars: Episode IX). Bonnie is an outsider with a troubled past and a mysterious connection to Alyssa. British writer Charlie Covell returns to write The End of the F***ing World which is inspired by the characters from the award-winning series of comic books by Charles Forsman. The original songs and score will again be written and performed by Graham Coxon. British directors Lucy Forbes (In My Skin) and Destiny Ekaragha (Gone Too Far) direct the first and second block respectively.
I'm With The Band: Nasty Cherry (Netflix, November 15) - In an era where there is no roadmap to success in the music industry, global pop star Charli XCX handpicked four women to form the alt-pop band, Nasty Cherry. The latest signing to Charli XCX’s label, Nasty Cherry is an unconventional mix of seasoned musicians and first timers. This six-episode series documents their origin story - from moving in together and their first practice to their first performance and debut single release and everything in between. An intimate look into what it takes to make your dreams come true, I’m With the Band: Nasty Cherry follows the women as they navigate a new age of music, making up their own rules as they go and blowing up Instagram feeds in the process. With Charli’s support and guidance, Nasty Cherry has the potential to really catch fire…or completely implode if they can’t keep their egos and insecurities in check, and in this unfiltered and intimate series, viewers find out what it takes to make - or break - this badass band.
The Stranded (Netflix, November 15) - 18 year old Kraam survives a devastating tsunami along with thirty-six of his fellow students at an elite private high school on a remote island in the Andaman Sea. As mysterious events start happening on the island, it quickly becomes clear that no one is coming to rescue them and Kraam must lead the students to rescue themselves.
Mortel (Netflix, November 21) - In a suburban high school, Sofiane, Victor and Luisa, three seemingly incompatible teenagers find themselves bound together by a supernatural force. Uniting their new voodoo powers to find Sofiane's brother, the trio discover that friendship in high school is a means of survival.
The Witcher (Netflix, December 20) - Based on the best-selling fantasy series, The Witcher is an epic tale of fate and family. Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.
Eden (Netflix, Coming 2020) - Thousands of years into the future, there are no more humans. Only robots live in the mechanical metropolis, "Eden 3". Or so they thought... One day, two farming robots find a young human girl in the city. The decision they make will change everything... Eden, the first Netflix Japanese Original Anime, presented by director Yasuhiro Irie (Fullmetal Alchemist), and concept designer Toshihiro Kawamoto (Cowboy Bebop).
Ghost In The Shell: SAC_2045 (Netflix, Coming 2020) - In the year 2045, after global capitalism has defaulted, Japan's elite Section 9 begins conducting covert cyber operations.
Castle Rock: Season 2 (Hulu, New episodes every Wednesday) - A psychological-horror series set in the Stephen King multiverse, Castle Rock combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland. The fictional Maine town of Castle Rock has figured prominently in King’s literary career: Cujo, The Dark Half, IT and Needful Things, as well as novella The Body and numerous short stories such as Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption are either set there or contain references to Castle Rock. Castle Rock is an original suspense/thriller — a first-of-its-kind reimagining that explores the themes and worlds uniting the entire King canon, while brushing up against some of his most iconic and beloved stories.
The Aeronauts (Amazon Prime Video, December 20) - In 1862, daredevil balloon pilot Amelia Wren (Felicity Jones) teams up with pioneering meteorologist James Glaisher (Eddie Redmayne) to advance human knowledge of the weather and fly higher than anyone in history.While breaking records and furthering scientific discovery, their voyage to the very edge of existence helps the unlikely pair find their place in the world they have left far below them. But they face physical and emotional challenges in the thin air, as the ascent becomes a fight for survival.
