The Linkedin page and resume have already been pulled, leading to further speculation.

There's always rumor and speculation surrounding game launches, but it's even greater with a game like 'Grand Theft Auto V,' where fans are looking at every source possible for the tiniest speck of information. Thanks to a Rockstar employee's resume and Linkedin profile, it looks like we may have a release date for the long awaited game.

Alex O'Dwyer, character animator at Rockstar, put 'GTA V' on the list of games he's worked on, with a launch date of October 2012. That wouldn't be too surprising as a release date considering that this would get the game out to hardcore fans and then still be a brand new title for the holidays, where it will certainly sell in record amounts.

'GTA V' Likely Coming in Early 2013 for 360, PS3 and Wii U

Analyst Arvind Bhatia suggests that this launch window will help to maximize sales.

There's no question that 'Grand Theft Auto V' will be big, and Take Two wants to make sure that sales numbers reflect that. That's one of the reasons that analyst Arvind Bhatia suggests we'll see the title as a spring 2013 launch, rather than something to compete in the already packed holiday season.

Bhatia says that Take Two may also wish to allow their game to start selling right at the end of the company's fiscal year, which wraps up in March of 2013.

The most interesting part of the speculation is that Take Two may be looking for "a larger installed base including the potential for launch on Nintendo Wii U." This would be the first full-on 'Grand Theft Auto' game for a Nintendo system and the second overall.

'Saints Row: The Third' Trailer Hits the Web

The 'Saint's Row' trailer came out just after the 'GTA V' trailer was revealed. How's that for timing?

The 'Grand Theft Auto' series has always had a bit of humor, though it's been scaled back far since the early games. Those that find the worlds that Rockstar makes to be a little too grim for their liking have an option though - 'Saint's Row.'

The trailer for 'Saint's Row: The Third' definitely takes a different tact than the 'GTA' trailers. It shows off a bit of storyline and traditional action, sure. But it also gives you a look at a space setting, superheroes, gimps and Burt f*cking Reynolds.

THQ also reveals some new weapons in the trailer. You'll have guns and rocket launchers and the like, but also a jar full of farts, a seemingly invincible ATV and - we're not making this up - dildo bats. Yup. Dildo bats.

The 'Grand Theft Auto V' Trailer is Finally Here

It's a cool introduction to the game, which will be set back in San Andreas.

We've had a pretty long wait, but the day is finally here. 'Grand Theft Auto V' has been revealed. The first trailer for the game was just released by Rockstar and it's looking pretty slick.

We learn a few things from the trailer, but the biggest revelation is that the series is heading back to San Andreas and centered around the city of Los Alamos. You'll also notice that it's not a bright time for the state, or for the game's protagonist. Depression and unemployment are rampant - sounds a little familiar, doesn't it?

A release date for the game has yet to be announced, but we're expecting to find out sometime after the Christmas buying season.

Rockstar Announces GTA V Early to Stick it to Jack Thompson

UPDATE: The GTA V trailer has been released and is featured at the bottom of this article.

A trailer is coming next week, but the guys at Rockstar wanted to take a jab, and jab they did.

Do you remember October 25th, 2008? We sure do. It was an amazing day for videogames, gamers, gaming culture and the first amendment. It's the day Jack Thompson - the man who has tried to put a stop to violent videogames since 'Mortal Kombat' - was finally disbarred.

Rockstar remembers too. In fact, they've decided to celebrate that day this year by announcing 'Grand Theft Auto V' a week earlier than they were planning on originally, just to stick it to Jack Thompson a bit. The game he tried to shut down is getting another sequel, and it's being announced on the day he finally got shut down himself.

The one downside is that the announcement really doesn't give us any information on the game. We know it's going to be set in Los Angeles in some form or another, but that's about it. We'll find out more when the trailer hits next week.
