Matthew Miller's 'Subterranea' to Surface on Blu-ray[teaser]The critically-acclaimed science fiction film arrives on Blu-ray in September. [/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, MVD Entertainment Group will be releasing 'Subterranea' on Blu-ray on September 13. Subterranea stars Bug Hall as "The Captive", who was locked in a dark cell as a small child and was raised in complete isolation, never seeing daylight or even another human being. Over twenty years later, without warning, he is released into society with nothing but the clothes on his back. Determined to find out who he is, The Captive discovers that he's the centerpiece of a dangerous orchestrated sociological experiment and sets off to find the truth about his shadowed existence, ultimately leading to a thrilling confrontation with his maker, "The Provider" (William Katt). Studio Ghibli's 'Only Yesterday' Blu-ray Detailed[teaser]The 1991 anime film is being prepped for Blu-ray this July. [/teaser] As previously reported, Universal will be releasing 'Only Yesterday' on Blu-ray later this year, and now the date has been set for July 5. Okajima Taeko, a 27-year-old career woman, has never really felt that she fit in with everyone else. All her life, she's felt that something was missing, although she could never really figure out just what it was. Tired and bored with her current lifestyle, Taeko decides to take a ten-day vacation to her sister's husband's relatives' farm to help out with the safflower harvest. Recollections of events during her 5th grade year begin to resurface in Taeko's memory as she makes her trip and also while she helps with the harvest. As she remembers more and more, Taeko begins to come to a realization of what she has become as a result of some philosophies she first adopted in fifth grade -- and eventually is faced with an important decision concerning what she can do to change. 'The Grand Tour' With Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond & James May Heads to Amazon This Fall[teaser]The new streaming series from the former 'Top Gear' hosts has an official name. [/teaser] Amazon has revealed the official title for its new original series starring Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond & James May. The upcoming car show is called 'The Grand Tour' and will feature the trio as they travel around the world. "Thing is," said Jeremy Clarkson, "We'll be travelling the world hosting each episode in a different country, from a giant tent. It's a sort of 'grand tour,' if you like. So we've decided to call it 'The Grand Tour.'" The Amazon Prime show will feature short films shot in different locations around the globe and the studio audience portion of the showcase will also take place at a different location around the world every week. The pre-recorded studio sections of the program will be filmed in front of a live audience, all housed within a giant tent. Therefore in this spirit of travel, adventure and intrigue, the presenters have decided to call the show 'The Grand Tour.' "Well, that took a while..." said Jay Marine, VP of Amazon Video Europe. "After nine months of deep thought, debate and deliberation, the guys have come up with a name that reflects the global ambition of the new show.
