SunBrite offers weather resistant outdoor sets from 32" on up to 65".

Spring is here and that means it's time to get outside and enjoy the sun, or the pool if you're in warmer climates. Of course, you don't want to miss the game or your favorite show or Shark Week, which means it's time to hook yourself up with an outdoor TV.

SunBrite's latest line is all about affordability. All of their sets are Full HD and are built to resist rain, humidity, salt, dust and insects. They even boast an internal cooling system which allows them to hang out in heats up to 122 degrees Fahrenheit.

The new SunBrite line starts with a 32" set at $1,495 and goes up to 65" for $5,995.

Outdoor TV Specialist Pantel May be Going Under

Orders aren't being filled, calls aren't being answered, and inside sources say bankruptcy is on the way.

When we think of niche products, outdoor televisions immediately spring to mind. They're unnecessary for most and priced well above their indoor counterparts, but specializing in a niche market isn't a bad idea for a company.

Sadly though, it seems that things aren't working out well for Pantel. The company hasn't been responding to calls or emails since September and one dealer says that his distributor is unable to get TVs that he's ordered.

Company phones are disconnected and even the CEO's number results in a disconnect message. Pantel has not officially filed for bankruptcy as of yet, but these aren't good signs.

SunBrite Launches a new Outdoor Display

It's not cheap, but it'll stand up to just about anything you throw at it.

If you live in one of those nice sunny places where you get to spend a lot of time outside, you may have toyed with the idea of setting up a TV on your deck. There's the problem of weather though, and unless you're prepared to bring your TV in every time it looks like it might rain, it's not practical.

SunBrite TVs, on the other hand, are designed for the purpose. They're made to resist the harshest conditions and keep on working throughout the year.

Heat isn't a problem, thanks to the proprietary Multi-Fan Airflow System which can keep your TV running with exterior temperatures as high as 121 degrees Fahrenheit. Living a little farther north? An internal heater can keep your set going at temperatures as low as -24 degrees.

The 2220HD boasts a 22 inch screen with a 1366 x 768 resolution and a 2500:1 contrast ratio. It's not the largest thing ever, but how much TV do you really need while you're grilling?

SunBrite's 2220HD will be available October 1st at a price of $2,095.

They've got optional custom finishes, a completely weatherproof case, and a hefty price tag.

Remember sitting in front of the TV in the summer and being prompted by your parents to go outside and enjoy the weather? Well Runco's got a solution that works as a nice compromise – outdoor televisions.

The CP-42HD and CP-52HD, 42 and 52 inch sets respectively, are 1080p sets sporting "reflection-rejection" glass that allows you to mount them outdoors without having to worry about that whole sunlight thing.

They've got a pair of HDMI inputs, and a few other video inputs too, in case you want to hook up a game system or PC. They've also got an internal thermostat that activates a cooling system when the case gets too hot.

But they're not anywhere close to cheap. The CP-42HD runs $6,495, while the CP-52HD runs $13,995.
