As a new year begins, many things in this world look uncertain. As far as Blu-ray collecting goes, fortunately, we can still look forward to the latest big blockbusters getting SteelBook editions.
Mary Poppins Returns
Video Formats: Blu-ray/UHD
Available at: Best Buy (ORDER HERE)
Release date: TBD
Price: $34.99
Disney’s huge winning streak keeps on rolling. The studio’s 50-year-late sequel to its musical classic has been a big hit with both critics and audiences. The artwork on the Best Buy SteelBook is perhaps not tremendously exciting, but does its job without turning into a garish mess, as could have easily happened.
Video Formats: Blu-ray
Available at: Zavvi (ORDER HERE)
Release date: TBD
Price: £24.99
Video Formats: Blu-ray/UHD
Available at: Zavvi (ORDER HERE)
Release date: TBD
Price: £32.99
The UK editions from Zavvi currently have temp art with a different image. I expect that the two regions will probably align before release.
The next few discs are all still in the temp art stage. (Aquaman doesn’t even have that much.) I list them here mostly so that interested readers have a chance to put in preorders.
Aquaman

Available at: Best Buy (ORDER HERE)
Release date: TBD
Price: $29.99
Video Formats: Blu-ray/UHD

The Best Buy listings currently only display poster images for the latest DC superhero spectacle. I’m not going to bother pasting that in here.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
Video Formats: Blu-ray/DVD
Available at: Best Buy (ORDER HERE)
Release date: TBD
Price: $32.99
Video Formats: Blu-ray
Available at: Zavvi (ORDER HERE)
Release date: TBD
Price: £23.99
Between the character’s solo movies (a new one due in 2019), his appearances in the Avengers crossovers, and now an animated spinoff, the onset of Spider-Man fatigue seems like an inevitability. It hasn’t happened yet, though. In fact, word-of-mouth on the cartoon version has been pretty great.
Once again, Best Buy’s page has only a poster image. Zavvi’s placeholder gives us no hint of the final design. Disappointingly, both listings are for Blu-ray only, with neither Ultra HD nor 3D options available. I hope that changes closer to release.
Bumblebee
Video Formats: Blu-ray
Available at: Zavvi (ORDER HERE)
Release date: TBD
Price: £21.99
The first Transformers movie without Michael Bay at the helm is also the first I might actually consider paying to see in the theater. (I haven’t done it yet.) I’ve heard good things.
Zavvi’s temp art at least has a design on it, even if it doesn’t wind up being the final image. No sign of Ultra HD or 3D for this one either, sadly, but I have a feeling that a UHD version will turn up at Best Buy later.
Bumblebee Update
Video Formats: Blu-ray/UHD
Available at: (ORDER HERE)
Release date: TBD
Price: $34.99
As predicted, Best Buy will indeed have an Ultra HD SteelBook for Bumblebee. The artwork is OK, as far as these comic book-style cases go. (It looks more like a child’s sketchbook doodle, honestly.)
