The staff of The Bonus View would like to wish all of our readers a happy and safe 4th of July celebration. To our international readers, we also wish you a happy… uhhh… Sunday, I guess. Whatever the case, drink responsibly and don’t handle fireworks while intoxicated. That’s never a good idea. Monday is a site holiday, so we’ll see you all back here on Tuesday. If you haven’t already, don’t forget to enter our ‘Halo’ haiku contest and add your $.02 to the Weekend Roundtable. Have a great holiday!

Know of any good fireworks Blu-ray discs? I have a fireworks DVD that I like a lot, but I’d like something in high-def and anamorphic widescreen. (Mostly it’d be for serving as video wallpaper while audio CDs play.)

AuthorI realize that this respose is probably a little late to be useful for this year’s celebration, but the only fireworks Blu-ray I could find is the ‘2008-2009 Taipei 101 Fireworks’ disc:

Haven’t personally seen it. Can’t comment on its quality.

Fret not about the timing, for my question also came a little late. I appreciate the effort.
That disc sure looks pricy, especially given the unknown quality and program content. Oh, well—I’ll make do with my DVD for now. I have faith that sooner or later a suitable, economical fireworks BD will show up. I’ve already been pleased by some of the other video-wallpaper BD’s I’ve found.

A happy belated Canada Day and Brett Hart’s Birthday to our friends up north too 🙂
