'Elvis Costello: Spectacle - Season One' Announced for Blu-ray

Join Elvis Costello and a variety of special guests for an intimate music experience in high-def next month.

Music Video Distribution will box up all thirteen one-hour episodes of 'Elvis Costello: Spectacle - Season One' for Blu-ray release on November 10.

Specs and supplements haven't been revealed yet, but suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $69.95.

MVD Goes 'Gunnin' on Blu-ray with Basketball Doc

Music Video Distribution has announced a November debut for the basketball documentary 'Gunnin' for That #1 Spot.'

Directed by Beastie Boy Adam Yauch, 'Gunnin' for That #1 Spot' chronicles the journey of eight of the U.S.'s top high school basketball players as they compete in the first "Elite 24" tournament in New York's Rucker Park.

MVD will debut the acclaimed doc on November 4.

There are no announced tech or supplement specs, but we'll keep you posted.

Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $39.98.

Method Man's 'Live from the Sunset Strip' Coming to HD DVD

Indie distributor Music Video Distribution (MVD) has announced their high-def debut with the December HD DVD bow of 'Method Man: Live from the Sunset Strip.'

Over the past several years, MVD has carved out an eclectic niche on standard-def DVD with a variety of theatrical and music video releases. Although they've stayed on the sidelines of the high-def format war until now, the December 11 bow of 'Method Man: Live on the Sunset Strip' on HD DVD will mark the company's first next-gen release.

MVD has not yet announced plans for Blu-ray support.

Specs for the 72-minute concert film include 1080i video (codec TBA) on a HD-15 single-layer disc. There will be no bonus features on the disc. At press time, audio details were unavailable.

MVD has set a low $19.98 list price for 'Live from the Sunset Strip.'
