Capcom Updates 'Darkstalkers' With a New Release Date

'Darkstalkers Resurrection' Headed to PSN March 12 and XBLA March 13.
After a slight delay, North America will be getting 'Darkstalkers Resurrection' this March. The digital title includes arcade versions of two games, 'Night Warriors: Darkstalkers Revenge' and 'Darkstalkers 3.' Both games will include optional filters to smooth over the HD scaling, online versus play, and achievements/trophies. The two title collection will be available on PSN for $14.99 and XBLA for 1200 MS Points.
Siliconera is also reporting that retail versions for both platforms will be released in Japan for roughly twice the price of the NA digital versions.

The game will apparently be running on the 'Street Fighter X Tekken' engine.
It's been a long time since we've seen a new 'Darkstalkers' game. The last to come out was a PSP launch title and before that we have to reach back to the 20th century. It's a safe bet that quite a few people only know characters like Felicia and Morrigan from games like 'Marvel vs. Capcom 3.'
If the rumors are true, that's all about to change. It's reported that 'Darkstalkers 4' is in the works over at Capcom and that 'Street Fighter' producer Yoshinori Ono is taking the helm. The game would run on a modified version of the 'Street Fighter X Tekken' engine.

'Darkstalkers' is Coming to PSN as a PSOne Classic

Capcom's classic fighting game passed through the ESRB and is on its way to the PlayStation Network.
It's been a while since we've seen a proper 'Darkstalkers' game. It may even be to the point that people don't properly remember what 'Darkstalkers' even is.
You may not have played any of the games in the series but you're almost certainly familiar with characters like B.B. Hood, Felicia and Morrigan who have appeared in the 'Marvel vs. Capcom' series. Those characters, and plenty more, appear in the first 'Darkstalkers' game, which is heading to PSN.
There's no official date for the release as of yet, but it's passed through the ESRB which means it shouldn't be too far off.
