We All Go a Little Mad Sometimes – Win ‘Hitchcock’ on Blu-ray!

Yes, for the third week in a row, we’re giving away free movies here at High-Def Digest. This week, we’d like to offer our readers a chance to win the 2012 film ‘Hitchcock’ on Blu-ray. Enter for your chance to win today!

For the bio-pic ‘Hitchcock‘, Anthony Hopkins stars as the legendary filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock in this (heavily fictionalized) account of the director’s struggle to make his masterpiece ‘Psycho‘. Helen Mirren co-stars as his wife Alma, and Scarlett Johansson plays actress Vera Miles.

To win the disc, all you have to do is participate in our photo caption contest by giving us a funny or clever caption for the following image. Click to enlarge:

For example: “Nooooo!!! Somebody switched my Pantene with Prell!!”

We have two copies of the Blu-ray to give away. The winners will be chosen at our own subjective discretion based on whichever responses we enjoy the most. Entries are limited to 10 per person. That should give you plenty of opportunity to craft a good submission, but will also help us to avoid any potential appearance of awarding prizes based on volume rather than quality. (Please heed this limit. You will be taken out of consideration if you submit more than 10 entries.) All entries must be submitted in the Comments section of this blog post. Please do not attempt to email them to me.

This contest is only open to entrants from the domestic United States or Canada. (Yes, this one will be available to Canada.) We will not ship to other countries whether you’re a U.S. citizen or not. Employees of High-Def Digest or Internet Brands and their families are not eligible. Standard contest rules and conditions apply. People who have won any of our previous contests within the past one year are also not eligible to win, but may get Honorable Mentions.

The deadline for entry is Friday, March 15th. The winners will be announced the following week. Good luck!

Among the many things “Hitchcock” deliberately omits is his blatant misogyny: he would routinely put his actresses through physical harm, sexually harass them and, as in the iconic shower scene in “Psycho” (up), use his fully erect penis as a prop.

Scarlett: I just don’t know how I am going to pulll off this scene.

Director: Don’t worry, I am sure you will react fine. Cue killer and….. KILL THE HOT WATER!

    Scarlett: AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!! F$#K YOU HITCHCOCK!!!!!

“We screwed up,” admitted Hollywood Restoration, Inc. Given both Terminator and Hitchcock projects, they cropped the wrong one to edit out nudity. They added, “we will get this right next time.” The company is also contracted to do 3D conversions of both films.
