Many Disney+ Accounts Have Been Compromised - Check Your Password!Double Check Your Disney+ Password! According to a recent ZDNet article, thousands of users have reported their accounts have been compromised - some have been locked out altogether. While after a week of notable glitches, this would sound like more bad news. However, if you dig into the story more and read past the sensational headlines that have been spreading around like wildfire in the last 24 hours, it reads more as if folks didn't create new unique passwords for their accounts and simply recycled one that was already compromised. In other cases, it sounds like key-stroke logging malware or info-stealing software could be the culprit rather than a true hack of Disney+. As users accounts are apparently being sold on the dark web, Disney+ has a big customer service problem on their hands. Obviously people are upset so some tweets and Facebook posts are less than thrilled with Disney's customer service, but at the same time, it is troubling that there doesn't appear to be any contingency plan in place for an event such as this. While most folks' experience with the streaming platform has been relatively problem-free (I keep having to turn off subtitles but that's it), this simple case of people not taking their cybersecurity seriously is turning into more bad press for Disney+ after their slightly bumpy rollout and news that torrent sites already offer full rips of their content. Create Unique Passwords This is a bit of a no-brainer but it still needs to be said: create unique passwords for your accounts! While it's tempting to share accounts you also need to be careful who you share your login information with - that person's computer could be compromised and be the source of your troubles. However, few of the many platforms currently available continue to expand their 4K HDR library with immersive audio as robust and diverse as Netflix. With the purchase of a Netflix Premium subscription, users are granted access to the provider's own assortment of original series and movies. As of 2020, virtually all current-gen smart TVs and media players are 4K HDR compatible, and most even come with a Netflix app already installed. For non-Dolby Vision TVs, such as Samsung products, video playback defaults to HDR10, but some manufacturers like LG, Sony, VIZIO, Panasonic, TCL, Hisense and Toshiba Fire TVs support Dolby Vision on a majority of their latest models. Other devices available with Dolby Vision playback are listed below. At the same time, Netflix Dolby Atmos playback is currently supported on most Blu-ray and Ultra HD players using the app, as well as through the TVs mentioned above via an HDMI ARC connection. HBO Orders GAME OF THRONES Prequel Series Titled HOUSE OF THE DRAGON[teaser]"Dracarys."[/teaser] HBO has announced a 10-episode, straight-to-series order for House of the Dragon. The upcoming series will serve as a prequel to Game of Thrones. Here's a brief synopsis per HBO: Based on George R.R. Martin's Fire & Blood, the series, which is set 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones, tells the story of House Targaryen. House of the Dragon comes form co-creators George R.R. Martin and Ryan Condal (Rampage). In addition, Condal will serve as one of the showrunners, along with Miguel Sapochnik. Sapochnik is also attached to direct episodes of the series, including the pilot, while Condal will also handle writing duties. George R.R. Martin, Ryan Condal, Miguel Sapochnik, and Vince Gerardis are all on board as executive producers. Casting and a release date have not been revealed yet. The greenlight for House of the Dragon follows the recent cancellation of another potential Game of Thrones prequel series. That now abandoned spinoff starred Naomi Watts, and though a pilot episode had been shot, the network will not bring the project to series. The canceled prequel would have been set eight thousand years before the events of Game of Thrones, focusing on a very different time in Westeros' history with a new ensemble. George R. R. Martin co-wrote the story for that pilot with Jane Goldman (Kingsman, X-Men: First Class). Goldman also handled the teleplay and was set to serve as the showrunner if the pilot was picked up for a full season. Game of Thrones originally premiered on HBO in 2011 and ran for eigth season. The platform will launch in May 2020 for a monthly subscription price of $14.99.
