Samsung Details SD850 Quad HD Monitors[teaser]The WQHD displays are geared toward business and performance users. [/teaser] Samsung has announced the release of two new monitors. The S27D850 and S32D850 both feature quad HD panels, offering twice the resolution of full HD screens. "The SD850 redefines the upper limit for enterprise-level monitors. We have designed the monitor to empower users that demand the most innovative display technology possible for producing their highest quality work," said Seoggi Kim, Senior Vice President, Visual Display Business, Samsung Electronics. "The SD850 delivers the form, functionality and features that set a new standard for business monitors, and its sleek, ergonomic design perfectly complements the stunning quality of the display." [/teaser] VIZIO has announced pricing and availability for two new soundbars. The 54-inch and 38-inch audio systems both offer 5.1 surround sound experiences. "With picture quality standards of today’s HDTVs continuing to elevate, consumers are now demanding an enhanced audio solution that completes their home theater experience,” said Matt McRae, Chief Technology Officer. "VIZIO is bringing true 5.1 sound bar solutions into living rooms, and now consumers with both large- and mid-size HDTVs can enjoy best-in-class, true cinematic audio." The S5451w-C2 54" 5.1 Home Theater Sound Bar is geared toward customers with 55-inch HDTVs or larger. The soundbar offers 104 dB of audio with less than 1% total harmonic distortion and discrete left, right, and center channels. In addition, the system comes complete with separate rear satellite speakers and an 8-inch wireless subwoofer for a bass response as low as 35 Hz. Meanwhile, the S3851w-C2 38" 5.1 Home Theater Sound Bar is designed to be paired with HDTVs that are 42-inches and larger. The device also features separate rear satellites and a wireless subwoofer for up to 100 dB of sound.
