Terrence Malick's 'Knight of Cups' Bound for Blu-ray[teaser]The star-studded drama will be available on Blu-ray in June. [/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, Broad Green Pictures will be releasing 'Knight of Cups' on Blu-ray on June 21. Knight of Cups follows writer Rick (Christian Bale), on an odyssey through the playgrounds of Los Angeles and Las Vegas as he undertakes a search for love and self. Even as he moves through a desire-laden landscape of mansions, resorts, beaches and clubs, Rick grapples over complicated relationships with his brother (Wes Bentley) and father (Brian Dennehy). His quest to break the spell of his disenchantment takes him on a series of adventures with six alluring women: rebellious Della (Imogen Poots); his physician ex-wife, Nancy (Cate Blanchett); a serene model Helen (Freida Pinto); a woman he wronged in the past Elizabeth (Natalie Portman); a spirited, playful stripper Karen (Teresa Palmer); and an innocent Isabel (Isabel Lucas), who helps him see a way forward. Rick moves in a daze through a strange and overwhelming dreamscape -- but can he wake up to the beauty, humanity and rhythms of life around him? The deeper he searches, the more the journey becomes his destination. From director Terrence Malick, Knight of Cups (the title refers to the Tarot card depicting a romantic adventurer guided by his emotions) offers both a vision of modern life and an intensely personal experience of memory, family, and love. Knight of Cups is produced by Nicolas Gonda, Sarah Green and Ken Kao. Prominent crew includes three-time Oscar winning cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki (The Revenant, Birdman), two-time Oscar nominated production designer Jack Fisk, three-time Oscar nominated costume designer Jacqueline West, and composer Hanan Townshend (To The Wonder). The film’s ensemble cast also includes Antonio Banderas, Cherry Jones, Joe Manganiello, Imogen Poots, Ryan O’Neal, Nick Offerman, Ben Kingsley and Armin Mueller-Stahl. The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video, a lossless soundtrack, and supplements have yet to be revealed (if any). Catch 'The Wave' on Blu-ray in June[teaser]Roar Uthaug's Academy Award-nominated film is headed for Blu-ray in June. [/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, Magnolia has revealed 'The Wave' will splash down on Blu-ray on June 21. Nestled in Norway's Sunnmøre region, Geiranger is one of the most spectacular tourist draws on the planet. With the mountain Åkerneset overlooking the village — and constantly threatening to collapse into the fjord — it is also a place where cataclysm could strike at any moment. After putting in several years at Geiranger's warning centre, geologist Kristian (Kristoffer Joner) is moving on to a prestigious gig with an oil company. But the very day he's about to drive his family to their new life in the city, Kristian senses something isn't right. The substrata are shifting. No one wants to believe that this could be the big one, especially with tourist season at its peak, but when that mountain begins to crumble, every soul in Geiranger has 10 minutes to get to high ground before a tsunami hits, consuming everything in its path. Specs have yet to be revealed, but supplements include: Behind the Scenes of The Wave; The Wave Visual Effects Featurettes; Interview with Director Roar Uthaug; and Theatrical Trailer.
