Sling TV Adds New "Sling Kids" On-Demand Content[teaser]The streaming TV platform is expanding its selection of kids entertainment.[/teaser] Sling TV has announced the addition of Sling Kids, a new selection of on-demand programming for children. Sling Kids offers more than 200 on-demand TV shows and movies for kids of all ages, joining the service's previous collection of kid-friendly channels like NickToons, TeenNick, Nick Jr., Boomerang, Baby TV, Kaboom, and Disney Junior. Sling Kids is now available as part of the "Kids Extra" add-on pack for $5 per month with a Sling Orange or Sling Blue subscribtion. The content will now appear as a new channel in the guide, providing over 200 on-demand TV shows organized by age group in an easy-to-navigate format, directly within the channel. Curated selections include content for ages 2-4, 5-7 8-11 and 12+. Sling Kids programming will feature titles from Kabillion, Kaboom and Splash, including shows like 'Sonic X' and 'Chloe's Closet,' along with movies like 'The Missing Lynx' and 'My Friend Bernard.' Beyond the new Sling Kids content, the Sling Blue Kids Extra package will continue to offer live and on-demand programming from networks like NickToons, TeenNick, and Boomerang, while the Sling Orange Kids Extra package will continue to offer content from Disney Junior, Nick Jr., Baby TV, and more. The base Sling TV Orange plan currently costs $20 per month and features more than 25 channels, including Disney/ESPN stations. Meanwhile, the base Sling TV Blue plan costs $25 per month and features more than 40 channels, including FOX and NBC stations. Finally, customers can also opt to combine both plans for $40 per month. Netflix Debuts Teaser for 'A Series of Unfortunate Events' Starring Neil Patrick Harris[teaser]Meet Count Olaf in the new teaser trailer for Netflix's upcoming series.[/teaser] Netflix has released a trailer for its latest original show. 'A Series of Unfortunate Events' stars Neil Patrick Harris and is set to premiere exclusively through Netflix on January 13. NFL Films & Google Prep Virtual Reality Football Series for YouTube and Daydream[teaser]The first NFL VR series will launch on Thanksgiving.[/teaser] Google and the NFL have announced plans to offer a virtual reality football show. The NFL Films VR series will be available to watch through YouTube and the NFL VR app designed for Daydream. "We are always looking for new ways to engage with our fans. Virtual reality is an emerging platform that enables content experiences with a truly unique vantage point that brings fans closer to the game," said Vishal Shah, Senior Vice President, Digital Media at the NFL. "It's an exciting new medium to explore as we look to evolve and grow our offerings, and this partnership with Google is an important step in that direction." NFL Films, the most honored filmmaker in sports, will produce a 9-part series that gives viewers a 360-degree perspective of life in and around the NFL – from players, to coaches, to executives, to cheerleaders, to the fans themselves – detailing how each prepares for game day in a completely new and immersive way. The NFL Films series is currently in production and being shot using Jump, Google's 360-degree camera and capture system. In the first episode of the series, viewers will spend a week with the Philadelphia Eagles defensive line as they prepare for the upcoming matchup and gain exclusive access to the Eagles bench and sideline on game day. 'Come What May' Blu-ray Announced[teaser]Christian Carion's war drama is coming to Blu-ray in February.[/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, Cohen Media Group is preparing 'Come What May' for Blu-ray on February 7. May 1940. To escape the imminent German invasion, the inhabitants of a small village in northern France flee their homes, like so many millions of their compatriots.
