It’s time to hand out some free goodies! Last week, we offered you the opportunity to win DreamWorks Animation’s ‘Puss in Boots’ on Blu-ray. We have two copies to give away, so let’s get to it.
As explained in the contest rules, the challenge was to come up with a clever or funny caption for the following photo. Once again, our readers really came through.
Here are some of my favorite entries.
Holy crap, does Josh have a lot of DVDs on his shelf!!
Would have been more accurate to say Blu-rays, FYI.
“Bismilah! No, we will not let you go!”
Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me. For me. For meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
What does it mean? What does it mean?!?!

Kitty: Very dangerous!

Snakes. Why’d it have to be snakes?
WHAT? Snooki is pregnant?
My reaction to that news was to throw up in my mouth a little, personally.
Here’s another great one from Shayne, this time a ‘South Park’ reference:
And now Winona will perform her famous ping pong ball trick!
“Who’s Rango and why did he win our award?”
They do exist…
Mike C. gave us this real groaner:
Shrek held the audience captive as he told his story ogre and ogre again.
“John Carter cost how much to make?”
Look at that stack of Blu-ray slipcovers!
It takes a real home theater nerd to come up with an entry like this, and just as big of a home theater nerd to get the joke. Fortunately, this is a web site by and for home theater nerds. I know people who would actually have this reaction to a stack of Blu-ray slipcovers, and Rodney’s entry made me laugh out loud.
This 4K scan shows incredible Puss detail!
Yes, it’s another home theater joke. No, that wasn’t a requirement to win, but it just worked out that way this time. Even though this is perhaps an obvious pun, Scott made the best use of it. His caption fit the photo flawless and hilariously.
Congratulations to Rodney and Scott for each winning one copy of ‘Puss in Boots‘ (2D version) on Blu-ray! Thanks to everyone for participating. We always enjoy the opportunity to give our readers free stuff whenever we can.
