NBC’s Thursday night lineup returned this week bigger than ever. The addition of a new show is always interesting, but the return of ‘Parks and Recreation’ really has me excited.
‘Modern Family’ kicks things up this week with one of the funniest episodes of the season. ‘Caught in the Act’ is absolutely hilarious – at least most of it is.
Casting has been confirmed for the latest Batman movie from Christopher Nolan, and it’s big news for movie and comic book fans alike. Two of the caped crusader’s most exciting enemies are getting the big screen treatment, and hopefully some redemption to go along with it.
After last week’s heavy casualties from the Netflix stream, it’s nice to see that we’re not losing too much this week. Still, we have to say goodbye to an underrated Kevin Smith movie, an amazing stand-up special, and Raul Julia’s final theatrical film.
The 2011 Consumer Electronics Show was an eye-opening experience in many regards. I was able to gain some knowledge from a roundtable with Samsung’s top brass, I was entertained and informed by the Panasonic director’s panel, and I got to go hands-on with some gear that actually might turn me around on 3D. I also had an experience that led me to understand that Consumer Reports is not the magazine I want to go to for HDTV information.
Ports and sequels abound on the videogame release list this week, but that’s not actually a bad thing. It’s an especially good week for PS3 owners, who get a little of everything.
You get two weeks of ‘Modern Family’ in one recap this week. You probably won’t be surprised to hear that the show continues to be great, but these episodes are not without their faults.
This week, we wave a sad goodbye to some old favorites. A few movies that I watched when I was a kid and that always take me back to my childhood are leaving Netflix streaming.
Not since ‘Plants vs. Zombies’ have I been hooked on a videogame this badly. ‘Game Dev Story’ won me over and I just can’t stop.
