RHA Unveils World’s First Planar Magnetic Wireless In-Ear Headphone[teaser]The new headphones are now available for pre-order.[/teaser] RHA has revealed its latest audio device. The new CL2 Planar Wireless In-Ear Headphone is the first of its kind to use planar magnetic technology. “The combination of industry-leading technology and remarkable materials used in the CL2 Planar results in a headphone like no other," said Colum Fraser, Marketing Manager, RHA. "The miniaturisation of planar magnet technology is a feat of engineering and the sound generated reflects this. As well as being technologically advanced and sounding great, the CL2 Planar is hi-fi Bluetooth compatible. The CL2 Planar uses the most compact planar magnetic driver ever released. The driver features a ten millimeter diameter with a planar coil and 16-micrometer diaphragm suspended above two matched magnetic fields. Meanwhile, zirconium dioxide provides a near-indestructible housing for the device. Connectivity options include detachable 3.5mm and balanced 2.5mm cables, along with a modified version of RHA's SecureFlex 12-hour Bluetooth neckband for wireless playback. Likewise, the Bluetooth neckband supports aptX and AAC streaming. In addition, the neckband includes a universal remote to switch between music, calls, and digital assistant functions. New Trailer for Suspiria Remake Teases More Supernatural Horror[teaser]A new spin on the cult classic horror flick is dancing toward theaters in November.[/teaser] Following an initial teaser back in June, Amazon Studios has released a full trailer for Luca Guadagnino's new version of Suspiria. The upcoming horror movie is inspired by the 1977 film of the same name and is set to haunt theaters in New York and LA on October 26 and nationwide on November 2, 2018. A darkness swirls at the center of a world-renowned dance company, one that will engulf the artistic director, an ambitious young dancer, and a grieving psychotherapist. iTunes tvOS 12 Beta Launches UHD & HD Dolby Atmos Support on Apple TV 4K[teaser]The first iTunes titles with Dolby Atmos audio are now available.[/teaser] With the launch of the tvOS 12 beta in June, Dolby Atmos support finally arrived on the Apple TV 4K. And though initial playback was limited to VUDU streaming titles, Apple has now started to add Atmos audio to several films through its iTunes app. Per a tip from HDD reader Bobby Stryker, iTunes now offers a growing collection of Dolby Atmos titles via the tvOS 12 beta on the Apple TV 4K. Atmos support is available whether streaming supported titles in HD or 4K HDR (when available). Likewise, Atmos tracks appear to be available for compatible titles regardless of how they were added to a user's library. This includes Blu-ray digital code redemptions, Ultra HD Blu-ray digital code redemptions, and iTunes store purchases. The initial selection includes a mixture of 4K and HD movies. For instance, Gravity is currently playable with a Dolby Atmos soundtrack but is not yet available in 4K. With that said, some titles known to have Dolby Atmos mixes, like Wonder Woman, are still only playable in 5.1. Likewise, the current iTunes spec details for some titles are not fully accurate just yet, as some movies are listed as having Atmos but still only play in 5.1 or 7.1.
