Toshiba Will Launch a 4K Resolution Set in Japan Next Month[teaser]It's not the glasses-free 3D set that's been shown off, but a 2D set at around $9,500. [/teaser] Toshiba's Regza 55XS5 comes out in Japan next month and it's looking quite appealing. It's an edge LED lit set that features a resolution of 3840 x 2160. It packs a CEVO Duo processing engine that handles upconversion of your Blu-rays or TV so you'll be able to take advantage and have something to watch on the set – a nice touch to be sure. Sadly, this isn't the glasses-free 3D toting 55X3 that we've been waiting for. In fact, it doesn't do 3D at all – a bit of a surprise for a high-end TV. Glasses-free 2D just doesn't have the same kind of excitement behind it. Source: EngadgetPosted Thu May 10, 2012 at 09:00 AM PDT by: -
