Universal Orlando Unveils Plans for New Epic Universe Theme Park

[teaser]A new Universal theme park is being developed in Orlando.[/teaser] Universal has announced plans to build a fourth Universal Orlando Resort theme park. The new project, called Epic Universe, will join the company's existing Florida parks, including Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay. "Our new park represents the single-largest investment Comcast NBCUniversal has made in its theme park business and in Florida overall," said Brian L. Roberts, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Comcast Corporation. "It reflects the tremendous excitement we have for the future of our theme park business and for our entire company's future in Florida." Though full details are still pending, Epic Universe will consist of the theme park itself, along with an entertainment center, hotels, shops, restaurants, and more. The project is being constructed on a 750-acre site located just a few miles from Universal's existing parks south of Sand Lake Road and east of Universal Boulevard. Specific rides, attractions, and entertainment properties set to be featured within Epic Universe have not been announced yet, but Universal says that the park "will take guests on a journey where beloved stories expand into vibrant lands – and where that journey is as much a part of their adventure as the ultimate destination." "It will build on everything we have done and become the most immersive and innovative theme park we have ever created. An exact launch date for Universal's Epic Universe has not been revealed yet, but more details will be announced over time. Two Soldiers Race Against Time in Tense First Trailer for New WWI Epic 1917

[teaser]The World War I drama is heading to select theaters in December.[/teaser] Universal has released the first trailer for 1917. The film comes from director Sam Mendes (Skyfall, Spectre, American Beauty), and is set for a limited theatrical release on December 25, 2019, followed by a wide release on January 10, 2020. At the height of the First World War, two young British soldiers, Schofield (Captain Fantastic’s George MacKay) and Blake (Game of Thrones’ Dean-Charles Chapman) are given a seemingly impossible mission. In a race against time, they must cross enemy territory and deliver a message that will stop a deadly attack on hundreds of soldiers—Blake’s own brother among them. Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and Joe Pesci Star in First Teaser for Martin Scorsese's THE IRISHMAN

[teaser]The legendary actors and director have teamed up for Netflix's latest film.[/teaser] Netflix has released the first trailer for The Irishman. The movie comes from director Martin Scorsese and is set to premiere at the New York Film Festival on September 27, 2019 before expanding to select theaters and Netflix streaming in the fall. Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci star in Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman, an epic saga of organized crime in post-war America told through the eyes of World War II veteran Frank Sheeran, a hustler and hitman who worked alongside some of the most notorious figures of the 20th Century. Spanning decades, the film chronicles one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in American history, the disappearance of legendary union boss Jimmy Hoffa, and offers a monumental journey through the hidden corridors of organized crime: its inner workings, rivalries and connections to mainstream politics. The monitor is now available for a suggested retail price of $1,299.99. Designed for use with Apple's latest Mac notebooks, Mac desktops, and iPad Pro tablets, the new UltraFine 5K display features a 27-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 5120 x 2880 and 218 pixels per inch (PPI), resulting in more than 14.7 million pixels. In addition, the monitor offers support for the P3 wide color gamut and 500 nits of brightness.
