Current gen will become Death, destroyer of worlds.
Nordic Games just confirmed that yes, indeed, 'Darksiders II' is getting a sweet definitive edition, which is dubbed the 'Deathinitive Edition' and comes with all the expected perks: it'll be running at 1080p, an improved graphics engine, and all previously released DLC. The game's balancing is also being tweaked to improve loot distribution. Lest anyone worry that the remaster is in questionable hands, fear not, for the remaster is being handled by Gunfire Games, which is entirely staffed by folks who've worked on the games in the past, including David Adams.
From Gunfire Games founder and President, David Adams, "It feels good to be working on Darksiders again, after a couple of years of hiatus. This project is a great opportunity for us to pick up where we left off two years ago and dig deeper into the game, which is close to all our hearts. Bringing the definitive Darksiders 2 experience to life is something that we hope a lot of people will enjoy and look forward to."
The Deathinitive Edition is due out this Winter on all current gen platforms. Pretty much makes the term "cold as death" literal.
