'Katamari Damacy' Creator's New Game Is Literally The Bomb

First look at 'Wattam' is here.

Everybody has a story of the first time they laid hands on 'Katamari Damacy'. The well-worn cycle of complete confusion, mild bemusement, all the way up cackling joy, telling cowardly bystanders to run while your cumbersome clutterball laid waste to cities of men. It was DELIGHTFUL.

Well, the game's creator, Keita Takahashi is back, with the new weirdness exclusively for PS4. And the the weirdness, this time, is called 'Wattam'.

What's 'Wattam' about? Simple: The world of Wattam has blown up. The pieces have scattered throughout the galaxy, and the Mayor of the World--an anthropomorphic green cube--must use the bomb he has hidden under his bowler hat to set off the biggest, happiest explosions among giant groups of people and things, explosions so big and happy that every resident of Wattm will have a big happy beacon to return home to.

That's it. 'Wattam' is apparently the story of the happiest terrorism ever. Don't believe me? Watch the teaser below, and BELIEVE.

Like I said: Happiest. Terrorism. Ever. If you're still somehow unconvinced, you could also check out this brief but cute Q&A over at the Playstation Blog. And yes, of course, they're going to be making an appearance at E3 next week. Watch this space for more from the new weirdness.
