The company will be demonstrating its newest monitors at the upcoming electronics show.
LG has announced that it will debut its latest UltraWide monitors at CES next week. In the spotlight, will be the new 34UM67, which is the world’s first UltraWide monitor compatible with AMD FreeSync technology.
"AMD FreeSync technology is an innovative monitor technology, based on free and open industry standards, to eliminate the tearing and stuttering that has plagued PC gaming for 30 years," said Roy Taylor, corporate vice president of ISV/IHV Partner Group, AMD. "We are pleased that LG Electronics stands with us with truly exciting AMD FreeSync-ready displays like the LG UltraWide Gaming Monitor."
The 34-inch 34UM67 features a 21:9 aspect ratio for an UltraWide field of view, along with a special Black Stabilizer mode for illuminating dark scenes, and a dynamic Action Sync mode to minimize input lag. Likewise, the monitor supports AMD FreeSync technology to get rid of pesky screen tearing, making it perfectly geared toward gaming. In addition, LG will also be showing off the rest of it's UltraWide monitor lineup, including the 34-inch Quad HD 34UC97, the 31-inch 4K 31MU97, and the 34-inch 34UC87M.
"LG's premium 21:9 UltraWide monitors are designed with the unique needs of consumers in mind," said In-kyu Lee, senior vice president and head of the TV and monitor division at the LG Electronics Home Entertainment Company. "The industry has come a long way from the days when one display design was thought to be suitable for all users. With the amount of time we spend in front of monitors, there's a lot of room for specialized monitors in our lives."
The entire LG UltraWide monitor lineup will be on display at CES in Las Vegas from January 6-9.
