10 Awesome Movie Infographics

I love infographics, especially savvy ones that pay homage to pop culture references.  I’ve collected 10 of the most intelligent, movie related infographics on the web ranging from cool stats about the industry to exactly what to do in case of a Aliens versus Predator scenario.  Seriously, don’t you want to be prepared when the alien onslaught begins?!

Ever wondered how big those Movie Monsters actually are?  Do you spend your days wondering if Mr. Stay Puft Marshmellow Man could take Megatron in a fight to the death?   Fear not, the first infographic comes from GeekStir, a movie related blog that took on monsters ranging from King Kong to Clover and stacked them up to a size comparison.  Click the picture for a full size view:

Dan Meth, over at the creatively named danmeth.com, like trilogies.  So much so that he decided to rank 21 movie trilogies that he’s seen over the years ranging from Lord of the Rings to Rambo.  His sentiments likely mirror many of our own about the quality of said trilogies.  Take a look:

Everyone loves a Pixar movie.  In fact you would be hard pressed to name a Pixar flick that didn’t tug at your heartstrings, even just a little bit.  Juan Pablo Bravo (blog here) has taken all the Pixar created characters (even Toy Story 3) and popped them into a size comparison chart spread over the years.  Click the picture below to see it on Flickr:

Movie Quotes roll off the tongue for any movie addicted guru, so why not put them in infographic form?  That’s exactly what FlowingData thought as well.  Check out quotes from great movies such as Casablanca, Sudden Impact and The Godfather:

    Very cool Mike, especially the trilogy meter. Naturally, I don’t agree with all, but is very cool to remember such movies from this point of view.
