'The Life of Muhammad' Blu-ray Announced[teaser]The BBC historical documentary is heading to Blu-ray in August. [/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, PBS is preparing 'The Life of Muhammad' for Blu-ray on August 20. The three part documentary charts the extraordinary story of a man who, in little more than 20 years, changed the world forever. Taking a journey that is both historical and relevant today, host Rageh Omaar documents Muhammad's life from his humble beginnings in Mecca to his struggles with accepting his prophetic role, his flight to Medina, the founding of the first Islamic constitution, his subsequent military and political successes and failures, and his death and legacy. Specs and supplements have not yet been announced, but suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $29.99. 'Day of the Dead: Collector's Edition' Blu-ray Features Detailed[teaser]Features have been revealed for the Collector's Edition of the cult George A. Romero horror film coming to Blu-ray in September. [/teaser] As previously reported, Scream Factory will release 'Day of the Dead: Collector's Edition' on Blu-ray on September 17. The concluding part of George A. Romero's cult horror trilogy opens with the undead roaming the planet freely. The living have been forced underground, where they make their base in a hidden missile depot, helping with the experiments of scientist Doctor Logan (Liberty), who hopes to domesticate the zombies. However, the military faction of the human survivors favour a more direct approach, and with food stocks becoming ever more depleted, they decide to take action. What folllows is the final showdown between the forces of the living and the armies of the dead. In this sequel to 'Dracula' (1958), four English tourists are holidaying in the Carpathians when they meet the unconventional Father Sandor (Andrew Keir) at an inn. He warns them to avoid the local castle if they value their lives, but the next day the quartet find themselves stranded in the mountains after their driver abandons them. When a driverless carriage arrives they board it, intending to travel to the nearest village. However, the carriage instead takes them to the very castle which Sandor warned them against, where they are welcomed by Klove (Philip Latham), sinister manservant of Count Dracula (Christopher Lee)...
