'Girls Gone Wild' Reveals 'Hottest Moments Ever' on Blu-ray[teaser]Mantra Films will deliver the latest installment in their video vixens high-def series 'Girls Gone Wild' with the compilation 'Hottest Moments Ever' which hits Blu-ray this June.[/teaser] Love 'em or hate 'em, Mantra keeps churning out the titles in their 'Girls Gone Wild' franchise, which features the no-holds-barred exploits of busty beauties. 'Girls Gone Wild: Hottest Moments Ever' will feature the company's favorite scenes and other fan favorites, and is set to hit Blu-ray on June 10 (day-and-date with the DVD). Tech specs are as minimal as past Mantra releases, with 1080i/MPEG-2 video and Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround audio. There are no announced supplements. Paramount to Re-Issue Entire Blu-ray Back Catalog[teaser]Only days after Paramount announced it would be re-issuing a select number of discontinued Blu-ray catalog titles this Spring, the studio has confirmed it is returning its entire Blu-ray back catalog to store shelves by the end of May.[/teaser] As we first reported last week, Paramount announced plans to re-issue eight previously-discontinued catalog titles on the format on May 20. Now there's even more good news for fans who have been unable to find past Paramount Blu-ray titles at retailer locations, as the studio will re-issue their entire Blu-ray back catalog. Word from Paramount is that the titles are identical to the original releases (even the catalog IDs and SKUs remain consistent), so expect the same tech specs, supplement details, and packaging. The complete list of newly-reactivated titles includes: 'Black Rain,' 'Coming to America,' 'Disturbia,' 'Failure to Launch,' 'Flags of Our Fathers,' 'Four Brothers,' 'Freedom Writers,' 'Hustle & Flow,' 'Lara Croft: Tomb Raider,' 'The Italian Job (2003),' 'Letters from Iwo Jima,' 'The Manchurian Candidate (2004),' 'Mission: Impossible,' 'M-i-2,' 'M:i:III,' 'Mission: Impossible - Ultimate Missions Collection,' 'Nacho Libre,' 'Norbit,' 'Payback: Straight Up - The Director's Cut,' 'Reds,' 'Shooter,' 'Trading Places,' 'We Were Soldiers,' 'World Trade Center' and 'U2 Rattle & Hum.' These nearly three-dozen titles join the previous eight announced by Paramount last week: 'Aeon Flux,' 'Babel,' 'Black Snake Moan,' 'Dreamgirls,' 'Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow,' 'Sleepy Hollow,' 'The Untouchables' and 'The Warriors.' Panasonic Details DMP-BD50 Pricing and Features[teaser]Panasonic has announced the spring debut of its much-touted DMP-BD50 player, which boasts BD-Live among other expanded capabilities.[/teaser] As reported in January and further detailed via press release today, The BD50 adds BD-Live functionality, which lets viewers access online content such as images and subtitles to further enhance the viewing experience. The BD50 also offers next generation sound capabilities using integrated decoders for lossless Dolby True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio. "Panasonic was the first to bring a Blu-ray player with Bonus View (Final Standard Profile 1.1) to market and now with the DMP-BD50 we are again leading the industry with the inclusion of BD-Live," said Paul Sabo, Panasonic, National Marketing Manager Entertainment Group. Disney Planning 'College Road Trip' for Blu-ray[teaser]Giving retailers an early heads up, Disney has set a July debut for the family comedy 'College Road Trip.'[/teaser] Starring Martin Lawrence, Raven-Symoné, and... Donny Osmond, 'College Road Trip' scored nearly $45 million at the domestic box office. Disney will debut the G-rated film on Blu-ray July 15, day-and-date with the standard DVD. 'Sex and Death 101' Coming to Blu-ray[teaser]Starz Home Entertainment has announced an early-July Blu-ray bow for the dark indie romance 'Sex and Death 101.'[/teaser] Written and directed by 'Heathers' scribe Daniel Waters, the Simon Baker-Winona Ryder black comedy grossed less than $10 million at the domestic box office during its short theatrical run earlier this year. Warner Gets Into 'Risky Business' on Blu-ray[teaser]Warner has announced the Blu-ray release of 'Risky Business' this September, in a 25th Anniversary Edition with all-new extras featuring star Tom Cruise. [/teaser] Often cited as one the seminal coming-of-age films (along with such classics as 'Rebel Without a Cause' and 'American Graffiti'), the 1983 teen comedy grossed nearly $100 million at the domestic box office and transformed Cruise into a superstar. Warner will debut the long-awaited special edition of the film on Blu-ray September 26, day-and-date with a new standard DVD re-issue. Newly-produced bonus features include an audio commentary with director Paul Brickman, producer Jon Avnet, and Cruise, a making-of documentary, and alternate ending.
