RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET Announced and Detailed for 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and Blu-ray[teaser]The animated comedy sequel heads to home video at the end of February. [/teaser] Disney has just revealed Ralph Breaks the Internet will be available on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on February 26. Directed by Rich Moore (Academy Award-winning “Zootopia,” “Wreck-It Ralph”) and Phil Johnston (co-writer “Wreck-It Ralph,” “Zootopia,” writer, “Cedar Rapids”), and produced by Clark Spencer (“Zootopia,” “Wreck-It Ralph,” “Bolt,” “Lilo & Stitch”), Ralph Breaks the Internet welcomes back favorite cast and characters introduced six years ago, including Reilly, who provides the voice of Ralph, and Silverman, who returns as the voice of Vanellope. Lending a virtual hand to Ralph and Vanellope is Shank, voiced by Gal Gadot, a tough-as-nails driver from a gritty online auto-racing game called Slaughter Race, a place Vanellope wholeheartedly embraces — so much so that Ralph worries he may lose the only friend he’s ever had. Yesss, voiced by Taraji P. Henson, the head algorithm and the heart and soul of the trend-making site BuzzzTube, makes Ralph a viral sensation. Jack McBrayer and Jane Lynch return as the voices of Fix-It Felix Jr. and Sergeant Calhoun, respectively, and Disney Animation’s good luck charm, actor Alan Tudyk was called on to voice a search engine named KnowsMore — literally a know-it-all — who runs a search bar and helps Ralph and Vanellope on their quest. Lots of exciting cameos are also featured in the film including a scene that reunites all of the original (living) Disney Princess voice cast. Ralph Breaks the Internet arrives home with a wide-range of exclusive extras, taking fans behind the scenes at Walt Disney Animation Studios to explore how artists created the film’s vibrant version of the internet — from comical cat videos to the intense online game Slaughter Race to shady characters on the Dark Net. Features also reveal some Easter eggs — inside jokes and references to other Disney films and characters hidden throughout the film — and filmmakers introduce some never before revealed deleted scenes. The releases will include a lossless 7.1 soundtrack (Dolby Atmos on the 4K) and supplements include: • How We Broke the Internet – Go behind the scenes at Walt Disney Animation Studios to get an in-depth look at how the filmmakers brought a world to life that billions of people visit every day but never actually see – the internet. Take a front-row seat as the team reveals the inspirations for the story and what it took to bring it to the screen. Discover all that went into developing the characters of the film including netizens like KnowsMore as well as characters like Double Dan. See the lengths the team took to create the car chase scenes in Slaughter Race and much, much more. • Surfing for Easter Eggs – Surf the web for the near-countless Easter Eggs, inside jokes and references hidden throughout the movie. • The Music of Ralph Breaks the Internet – Take a look at the music of Ralph Breaks the Internet with appearances by Imagine Dragons, Julia Michaels, Alan Menken, Sarah Silverman and more. • Deleted Scenes – Five deleted scenes with intros from directors Rich Moore and Phil Johnston. The Ecto-1 Returns in First Teaser for New Sequel to Original GHOSTBUSTERS[teaser]Something strange is coming to your neighborhood in 2020.[/teaser] As reported by Entertainment Weekly, Jason Reitman (Up in the Air, Juno) has announced plans to direct a new Ghostbusters film. Though plot details have not been revealed yet, the project will be a sequel to the original two films from the 1980s, and is set to hit theaters in 2020. “I’ve always thought of myself as the first Ghostbusters fan, when I was a 6-year-old visiting the set. I wanted to make a movie for all the other fans," Reitman told EW. "This is the next chapter in the original franchise. It is not a reboot. What happened in the '80s happened in the '80s, and this is set in the present day." Check out the announcement teaser from EW below! In addition to directing, Jason Reitman is also onboard as co-writer for the currently untitled film along with Gil Kenan (Monster House). Jason Reitman is the son of Ivan Reitman, the director of Ghostbusters (1984) and Ghostbusters II (1989). Ivan will also serve as a producer on the upcoming movie. This new project will be a sequel to the first two installments and not a reboot like director Paul Feig's Ghostbusters (2016). With that said, casting for the new movie has not been announced and it's not yet clear if Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, or Ernie Hudson will reprise their roles as the original Ghostbusters. Beyond the new live-action Ghostbusters sequel, Sony is also developing an animated entry in the franchise from an entirely different creative team. The animated Ghostbusters movie is set to release sometime after Reitman's film. Source: Entertainment WeeklyPosted Wed Jan 16, 2019 at 10:05 AM PST by: -

Stan Winston's Animatronic T-Rex Attacks in JURASSIC PARK Behind-The-Scenes Clip[teaser]Ever wonder how filmmakers rehearse for a dinosaur attack? Check out this fun behind-the-scenes clip![/teaser] The Stan Winston School of Character Arts has posted a fun behind-the-scenes video showcasing some of the practical animatronic and stunt work done for Steven Spielberg's The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Recorded back in July of 1996 at the Stan Winston Studio, the clip features one of the film's stunt crew members rehearsing the Dr. Burke death scene. Serving as a test victim for the movie's animatronic T-rex, the stunt performer is seen being lifted up and thrashed about by the dinosaur's massive bite -- offering an amusing showcase of the studio's impressive ingenuity. Check out the clip below! As detailed in a related blog post, Stan Wintston's team created two full-size partial-body T-rex puppets for the scene. Unlike the full-body version created for the first film, each rig used in The Lost World only reached from the head to mid-torso, covering just what viewers would need to see in the shot. Meanwhile, scenes that showed the creatures' whole body relied upon CG instead. To provide an enhanced sense of forward and backward motion, the practical T-rexes were then mounted to motor-driven carts, allowing the team to move the heavy rigs across eighty feet of track on the set. And thanks to this freedom of motion, the crew could actually ram the animatronic puppets into the RV featured in the sequence, allowing the dinosaurs to physically smash up the vehicle for real. "I think out of everything on this movie, we had the most fun smashing up the RV with the two T-rexes," said effects supervisor Shane Mahan "At first, we were hesitant, thinking that we had to be careful with the rigs. But it got to the point where we were just, 'Ah, to hell with it,' and we just demolished that trailer with the T-rex rigs. That scene wasn't faked. Those T-rexes were really slamming into that thing, breaking glass and shaking it. I think the scene really works because we went for it like that. You can tell that something truly violent is happening." For more behind-the-scenes footage and various special effects and make-up tutorials, be sure to check out the Stan Winston School of Character Arts Facebook page and YouTube channel.
