Samsung Shows Off a 55 Inch LCD With an Incredibly Small Bezel[teaser]Sure, it's geared towards commercial applications, but that doesn't mean you can't set up your own video wall. [/teaser] The book '1984' inspired many to think about the government's control over us, while others took from it a warning about rampant censorship. The folks at Samsung took a note from the novel too, and are working hard to create video walls. Alright, so there's probably not really an Orwellian inspiration, but the company's new 55 inch sets are perfect for filling your walls from floor to ceiling with the ever present glowing screen. They've got bezels of 3.8mm on the top and left, while 1.9mm bezels are present on the bottom and right sides. That's a total of just 5.7mm of space between two sets side by side. If you prefer a smaller set for your video wall, you can pick up a 46 inch model that features a total bezel of 7.6mm, which is 2mm larger, but still incredibly small. There's no word yet on when these sets will be available for public or commercial purchase. Source: EngadgetPosted Tue Oct 12, 2010 at 11:00 AM PDT by: -

AT&T Brings Xbox Set-Top Compatibility in November[teaser]You'll still need at least one traditional set-top in your home, but the long awaited feature is finally coming. [/teaser] If you're an Xbox 360 owner and an AT&T U-verse subscriber, you've probably all but given up on the idea of using your 360 as a set-top box. The feature was announced so long ago that it seemed like it would have happened by now if it was going to. The folks over at Engadget got a tip from an anonymous source, followed by several more similar tips, that reveals upcoming Xbox 360 set-top compatibility. According to the source, you'll be able to use your Xbox as a set-top on November 7th of this year. You'll still need a cable box in your home, which is a little bit of a bummer, and the information that's been revealed says that a hard drive will be required. There's no word on a size requirement though, so it's unclear if the 4GB Xbox 360 S will work or not. Source: EngadgetPosted Mon Oct 11, 2010 at 11:00 AM PDT by: -
