[/teaser] Amazon has reduced the price of 'Modern Times' to $21.49 (46% off suggested list price). 'Modern Times,' Charlie Chaplin’s last outing as the Little Tramp, puts the iconic character to work as a giddily inept factory employee who becomes smitten with a gorgeous gamine (Paulette Goddard). NAD Releases New Receivers and Preamp/Processor[teaser]Each of the components uses Modular Design Construction and focuses on making music sound the very best that it can. [/teaser] The folks at NAD make receivers that are good for every purpose you can put a receiver to, but that doesn't mean they're generalists. You can watch movies and TV, but the primary focus of NAD's receivers and preamps is to make your music sound better than it ever has before. Their $3,000 T 777 and $4,000 T 787 receivers achieve this by including a 24-bit/192kHz Burr Brown DAC and multiple high-power DSPs for optimal audio. You'll also find the EARS (Enhanced Ambience Retrieval System) mode which adds a bit of spacial ambience to stereo tracks. The T 187 is the latest preamp/processor from the company and comes in at $3,000. Like the 777 and 787 it employs the Burr Brown DAC and the EARS audio system. It also gives you seven HDMI inputs, IP control, IR outputs, 12v triggers and an RS-232 port. Source: eCoustics Receivers PreampPosted Wed Mar 28, 2012 at 09:00 AM PDT by: -

Comcast Won't Count Xfinity Streams on Xbox 360 Against Data Caps[teaser]The company says that the traditional internet isn't used for the streams. [/teaser] The practice of limiting the amount of content that someone can download is a practice that more and more internet providers are adapting, and one that's certainly frustrating to power users and other people who stream and download more than the disappointing limit. The folks at Comcast have some good news for people streaming Xfinity content through their Xbox 360 – none of your activities will count against your data limit. Comcast says that this is because their service eschews the traditional internet and goes through Comcast's own private network. This doesn't apply to Xfinity content accessed through a computer though – that's still capped normally. Source: Home Media MagazinePosted Wed Mar 28, 2012 at 07:00 AM PDT by: -
