MONTY PYTHON'S FLYING CIRCUS: 50th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray Delayed[teaser]All 45 episodes of the classic British comedy series have been restored and are still heading to Blu-ray, just in November now instead of October. [/teaser] According to MontyPython.com, Monty Python's Flying Circus: 50th Anniversary Limited Edition will be available on Blu-ray. The set was originally scheduled for release on October 7, however due to some recently discovered material the date has been pushed to November 4. "The absolutely spiffing news, however, is that during the course of the restoration, just as we thought we’d seen everything, yet more cans of film material emerged from other quarters that could, frankly, have been anything. We’re still painstakingly going through every frame of the archive but have discovered a wealth of Python nuggets, a lot of it unseen. It would be impossible to include this material and still make the original release date but, it was an easy decision as not only is a lot of the material being seen for the first time, it is all being restored and presented in HD." "As a thank you for your patience, enjoy this preview of an exclusive, very rare and reinstated piece of animation we have restored to HD quality": “Network Distributing will release all 45 episodes of Monty Python’s Flying Circus, on Blu-ray and DVD, fully restored for the first time ever. Each episode has been painstakingly restored using the original video and film elements exclusively for this release. All four series, along with unseen and excised footage, sketches and much more, will be presented in an exclusive 50th anniversary limited-edition box set available exclusively here from 29th July, with all four individual series available to purchase separately at a later date.” 7 discs featuring all 45 episodes presented series-by-series, for the first time totally uncut and beautifully restored from original film and videotape elements. Limited exploding box Norwegian Blu-ray Edition Each of the four series comes individually packaged with a book by Andrew Pixley (four books in total) detailing an exhaustive episode-by-episode production history. Previously unseen outtakes Extended scenes and sketches Restored-to-full-length sketches including Ursula Hitler, Cartoon Religions, A Book at Bedtime, and more. Rare promo films And more to be announced… You can find the latest specs for Monty Python's Flying Circus: 50th Anniversary Limited Edition linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where it is now indexed under November 4.Posted Tue Sep 3, 2019 at 08:01 AM PDT by: -

Coming Soon to Blu-ray: Arrow's September Releases Celebrates Mutants, Cenobites and the Apocalypse[teaser]Six (mostly) horror titles are on the way to whet your appetite for Halloween. [/teaser] On September 17, Arrow is set to release Wes Craven's The Hills Have Eyes: Part 2 and Alan Lado's classic giallo, Who Saw Her Die?. The hills are once again alive with the sound of screaming in Wes Craven's hugely entertaining follow-up to his own groundbreaking 1977 The Hills Have Eyes. A motocross team on their way to trial a new super-fuel head out across the desert lead by Rachel, who, unbeknownst to the rest of the group, is a survivor of the cannibal clan which menaced the Carter family several years before. Opting to take an ill-advised shortcut across the desert, the busload of youngsters drive straight into the path of the remnants of Rachel's demented cannibal kin - the menacing Pluto, and a hulking, blood-hungry brute by the name of The Reaper. Made by Wes Craven immediately prior to his smash-hit A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Hills Have Eyes Part II diverges from the grim tone of its predecessor in favour of fun action-horror thrills and spills replete with mutants, motorbikes, and - oh yes - dog flashbacks! Sculptor Franco Serpieri (Lazenby) welcomes Roberta (Nicoletta Elmi, Deep Red) - his young daughter from a failed marriage - to Venice, unaware that a disturbed child-killer is stalking the city's canals. When Roberta's body is found floating face-down in the river, the lives of Franco and his estranged wife Elizabeth (Anita Strindberg, The Case of the Scorpion's Tail) are ripped asunder. Desperate for vengeance, Franco turns detective in a bid to track down his daughter's killer, and in the process unearths shocking evidence of depravity and corruption which implicates some of the most respected figures in Venetian society. Released at the height of the giallo boom, this gripping mystery thriller boasts some of the most iconic names associated with the genre on both sides of the camera. Co-starring Dominique Boschero (The Iguana with the Tongue of Fire) and Adolfo Celi (Thunderball), and featuring one of the all-time greatest scores from maestro Ennio Morricone (What Have You Done to Solange?), Who Saw Her Die? thrills anew in its high definition debut. Stephen King was once famously quoted as saying, "I have seen the future of horror... his name is Clive Barker." That future was realized in 1987 with the release of Barker's directorial debut Hellraiser. Based on his own novella The Hellbound Heart, Barker's Hellraiser sees Larry (Andrew Robinson) and his wife Julia (Clare Higgins) move into their new home, unaware that something evil lurks beneath the floorboards of the dilapidated house - something that wants human blood... Introducing the world to the iconic Pinhead and his sadistic band of Cenobites, Hellraiser became an instant genre classic upon release and remains one of the most frighteningly original visions in horror. Having escaped the clutches of Pinhead and the demonic Cenobites, Kirsty Cotton (Ashley Laurence) awakens to finds herself detained at the Channard Institute, a hospital for the mentally ill. But her torments are far from over - the chief doctor at the institute is determined to unleash the powers of Hell to achieve his own twisted ends. The result is In The Aftermath, a haunting post-apocalyptic vision like no other. In a radiation-soaked wasteland, two surviving soldiers, Frank and Goose, search for essential supplies amid the rubble. After a violent confrontation, Frank is haunted by visions of an angelic young girl holding a giant egg, herself a refugee from another world altogether. Could the egg be the key to saving both their worlds? A unique mash-up of 1980s B-movie nuclear paranoia and hauntingly lyrical animation, In The Aftermath is presented in a stunning new restoration that highlights Oshii's visionary genius and Colpaert's low-budget ingenuity. Fleeing the conductors, she hides in the compartment of Major Philip Kirby (Ray Milland, The Big Clock, The Pyjama Girl Case). The Major believes Susan is a child and takes her under his wing, but when they arrive at the military academy where Kirby teaches, his fiancée (Rita Johnson) grows suspicious of Susan's ruse... Co-written by Wilder and Charles Brackett (Hold Back the Dawn), The Major and the Minor assumes the guise of a light romance narrative in order to cleverly explore themes of identity and deception. Trinnov Set to Demo 11.4.6 DTS:X Pro Immersive Audio System at CEDIA 2019[teaser]The company will present the North American debut of DTS:X Pro in September. [/teaser] Trinnov has announced plans to demo DTS:X Pro technology at CEDIA 2019. Building upon the standard DTS:X platform, the upgraded tech greatly expands the maximum number of unique channels a user can configure. "Trinnov has been collaborating with the DTS team since 2014, leading to the first public demo of DTS:X at CES 2015 on an Altitude32 processor," said Arnaud Laborie, Trinnov's co-founder and CEO. "Our unique software-based platform consistently enables us to release new formats before other high-end home cinema processors, which means that our design allows us to deliver the latest technologies to our customers at their earliest availability. This was the case with DTS:X, and by continuing to work closely with DTS, we are now very pleased to be able to introduce DTS:X Pro, as the first licensee of this technology. This accomplishment is yet another example of our commitment to high spatial resolution.” DTS:X is an immersive audio format developed for cinemas and home theaters which enables object-based sound mixing and playback, including the ability to position effects overhead. While the commercial theater implementation of the tech can support up to 64 uniquely-rendered channels, the consumer version has been limited to 11.1 channels. But with the new DTS:X Pro update, that number will now be greatly expanded upon, offering support for up to 30.2 discrete speaker outputs. The DTS:X Pro demo at CEDIA 2019 will feature an 11.4.6 channel immersive audio system using Trinnov Altitude audio processors and Control4/Triad speakers in a custom-built HTE acoustical environment. Though an exact release date has not been announced yet, DTS:X Pro support will be available for current Trinnov Altitude32 and Altitude16 processors via a free download later this year. CEDIA 2019 will be held in Denver, Colorado on September 12 - September 15. Source: TrinnovPosted Fri Aug 30, 2019 at 02:30 PM PDT by: -

The Machine Uprising Continues in Action-Packed TERMINATOR: DARK FATE Trailer[teaser]"You may have changed the future, but you won't change our fate."[/teaser] Paramount has released a new trailer for Terminator: Dark Fate, offering an extended look at the movie's plot and action. The film is set to hit theaters on November 1, 2019. Linda Hamilton (“Sarah Connor”) and Arnold Schwarzenegger (“T-800”) return in their iconic roles in Terminator: Dark Fate, directed by Tim Miller (Deadpool) and produced by visionary filmmaker James Cameron and David Ellison. Following the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Terminator: Dark Fate also stars Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna, and Diego Boneta. Check out the new trailer below! Terminator: Dark Fate will be the sixth entry in the Terminator franchise, following the release of The Terminator (1984), Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991), Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003), Terminator Salvation (2009), and Terminator Genisys (2015). Likewise, the franchise also includes a TV series titled Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, which ran for two seasons from 2008 to 2009. With that said, this new film's plot will serve as a direct sequel to Terminator 2 and is not expected to acknowledge any of the events from the other movies and TV show. In addition to the return of stars Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger, the film also marks the return of franchise creator James Cameron who helped develop the new story and also serves as a producer. Cameron has not had any direct involvement in the Terminator film series since the second installment. Meanwhile, it's also been announced that Edward Furlong will make an appearance in the film as well, reprising his role as John Connor from the first two movies.
