[/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, BBC says 'The Blue Planet: Seas of Life' will be available on Blu-ray on April 9. 'The Blue Planet: Seas of Life' is the definitive natural history of the world's oceans, exploring everything from the popular shores and teeming shallows to the mysterious ocean depths. Sea birds and crustaceans inhabit the no-man's-land between earth and sea; sharks bask in the shallows, waiting for prey; strange, flower-like anemones bloom in the coral reefs; while in the deep canyons of the oceans, weird creatures with huge jaws wait for something to sink down from the sunlit world. It's a journey that gets stranger and more awe-inspiring as it goes along. Specs have yet to be revealed, but supplements will include: Interviews, Ten 10-minute "Making Of" Mini-Episodes, and Deep Trouble: For years, man has used the oceans as a source of life, food and riches. 'Django Unchained' Dated for Blu-ray[teaser]Quentin Tarantino's Oscar nominee for Best Picture rides onto Blu-ray in April. [/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, Starz/Anchor Bay will be releasing 'Django Unchained' on Blu-ray on April 16. The western starring Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Christolph Waltz was also nominated for three other Academy Awards including Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, and Best Supporting Actor (Waltz). SVS Launches its First Full Range Speakers[teaser]The 3.5 way tower speakers come in at $1,998 a pair. [/teaser] The folks at SVS have just announced a first. Their new SVS Ultra Towers are full-range speakers, which is a new line for the company. They feature an elegant trapezoidal shape and boast some impressive specs. Mids are doled out by a pair of 6.5 inch drivers in separate sealed enclosures. They're made of glass-fiber cones and designed for improved sensitivity. The bass is where things get a little bit different. SVS has packed two eight-inch woofer – one on either side of the cabinet. They say that this allows for a tighter bass response and more powerful and accurate bass throughout the room. The new speakers are available at $999 each and come with a 45 day in-home trial with free shipping both ways, so you've plenty of time to test them out.
