Catch a glimpse of the upcoming Expedition DLC.
The first round of paid DLC for Respawn Entertainment’s ‘Titanfall’ is coming sometime this month. As the collective anticipation of the game’s many active players grumbles in the background, a new preview of one of the upcoming three maps has hit the web. It’s called ‘Swampland,’ and it takes place in a swamp. But it’s a future swamp, where titans may roam free and pilots may scatter like ants.
Okay, maybe it’s not so much a preview as it is an enthusiastic map designer’s expression of self-love, but there’s a lot to take away if you’re looking for it. Trees of proportional size to the game’s already massive scale pepper the lush arena, serving as jumping points for pilots or obstacles for titans in between a few set structures. Swampland seems to play well into the DLC pack’s expedition theme, taking players into uncharted territory from the commonly industrial architecture of the original maps.
The other two maps are Runoff and War Games. Check out the layouts for both of those maps at ‘Titanfall’s’ official site, here and here, respectively.
‘Titanfall: Expedition’ is part of the game’s $24.99 season pass, or can be purchased separately for $9.99. It’s the first of three scheduled map packs.
