Game set for June 25 release.
Ubisoft continues its thematic ambitious streak with 'Valiant Hearts: The Great War,' and the first of the game's developer diaries doesn't hold back on the game's "emotional edge."
Adrian Lacey, IP developer director at Ubisoft, went so far as to say tears may emerge.
"I think it's something, it's realistically the first game that will bring a tear to your eye, and I think that's something that's quite special and very rare," he said. Check it out:
The game follows four initially disparate people as they attempt to survive World War I, utilizing Ubisoft's now-notorious UbiArt Framework engine as a basis for two-dimensional comic book visuals. 'Child of Light' is the most recent title emerged from the engine, a visual inspiration at the least.
'Valiant Hearts: The Great War' is set for digital release on June 25 for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4 and PC.
