With 'Call of Duty: Black Ops III,' Activision is really stepping up competitive Call of Duty eSports. The Call of Duty World League kicked off this week (see here), and today, Sony officially announced a partnership to be the signature platform (PS4) for the Call of Duty World League.
Activision and Sony will both put the money for the $3 million prize pool for the Call of Duty World League, and it seems clear that console 'Call of Duty' play is going to continue to grow its serious eSports presence.
