Does require an Epic account.
Epic and Chair Entertainment's 'Shadow Complex' was a great metroidvania on the 360 in 2009 and will be great when it comes to PS4 and Xbox One in 2016. Right now, however, the brand new remastered version is free to download for the PC.
Free on PC for a limited time, 'Shadow Complex Remastered' features the original game but with:
- Up-rezzed characters, enemies, environments, and interface
- Updated lighting, post-processing, and visual effects
- New contextual melee take-downs
- New Achievements and Master Challenges
The PC version also has keyboard/mouse support, controller support, and 4K resolution options.
The catch of getting the PC version free, is that it comes as part of the Epic Games Launcher, which in turn requires that users create and use an Epic Games account.
The Epic Games launcher (which links to the free 'Shadow Complex Remastered) can be downloaded free here.
'Shadow Complex Remastered' will hit the PS4 and Xbox One in 2016, but it free on PC now is worth using the Epic launcher. As I recall from the 360 version, playing it on the harder difficulties in order to get more XP isn't the best idea.
