Titan decals and burn cards ready to fall.
The fourth update for Respawn Entertainment's 'Titanfall' is now live, introducing a number of new features, tweaking the weapon balance and generally cleaning up the code just a bit more. Most important among them is the Featured Game Mode playlist, which will serve as Respawn's testing arena for new game modes.
So, instead of thrusting both of the new modes, Wingman Last Titan Standing and Marked for Death, at the same time, one will be featured after another. Today begins us off with Marked for Death, a round-based mode wherein the execution of a single "marked" player from either team results in a victory. Wingman Last Titan Standing, a two versus two version of the round-based mech-killing mode, will debut at a later date in the same Featured Game Mode slot.
Respawn is adamant to note any modes introduced will be available as a private lobby once it isn't featured anymore, though it's likely Respawn will mantain publicaly any mode proven popular during its run.
As for other new featueres, titan decals, unlocked by completing challenges, and titan burncards, which enhance a titan weapon or ability, are now available. Only recently revealed but included in today's update are two new titan operating system voices that apprise you of relevant details mid-combat. The original rounds out a trifecta of robotic buddies.
Respawn has also made efforts to improve matchmaking, eradicate glitches and generally balance the entire arsenal of weapons into equality with the reigning R-101 assault rifle. Check out the nitty gritty details over at Respawn's blog.
