I Shall Rise: 'Rise Of The Tomb Raider' Launch Trailer Released

'Rise of the Tomb Raider' is about two weeks out, and Microsoft has spared no expense putting together a rather perfect launch trailer for Lady Croft's Xbox-exclusive return.

It helps, of course, that they've enlisted some musical assistance from Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman Karen O, who was commissioned directly by Microsoft to pen the theme, titled 'I Shall Rise'.

"They wanted drama and high-stakes and melodrama," she says, in a Rolling Stone interview. "That was very appealing to me because I love making music connected to a storyline. It was all stuff I loved like having the theme song to [Lara Croft] becoming an icon and the creation myth to the moment she becomes Lara."

The footage itself does a grand job making that case as well, showing an obsessed, paranoid Lara set off on one hell of an adventure across the globe. Have a look below.
