Troubled would-be launch game on a new footing.
The launch of the PS4 would seem to be a tremendous success, and one that has resulted in the sales of several games. Missing from party though, is the game that was positioned as Sony's next-gen launch title, 'DriveClub,' a game so important that Sony was ready to give PlayStation Plus members a free version. Since the game's initial delay, the trickle of news about the title had not been promising. Today, SCE President Shuhei Yoshida took to the PlayStation Blog to ensure fans that the team has "been working relentlessly on the game." And that now was the time for a new video which would signal both a date for the game's release and a new game director, Paul Rustchynsky, who has been in place at Evolution Studios since February.
With these details in place, Yoshida has promised that starting with tomorrow, many more updates will follow.
