'Reaper of Souls,' local co-op and ported characters all part of the package.
'Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition' is coming to the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and PS3 on August 19. As the first incarnation of 'Diablo III' for the newest generation of consoles, the 'Ultimate Evil Edition' is sparing no expense, throwing in every little bit of the two year old game and then some.
The PC version’s only expansion, 'Reaper of Souls,' which upped the character class count from five to six and introduced a fifth act, is obviously included in the package. This marks the first time it's available for the Xbox 360 and PS3 as well. Strangely enough, Blizzard made no mention of the expansion’s availability as actual downloadable content. Players who already own 'Diablo III' for their last-generation consoles may need to purchase the entire game again.
On the bright side, characters can be ported from the original PS3 version of 'Diablo 3' to the PS3 or PS4 'Ultimate Evil Edition,' as is the same from the Xbox 360 to its respective upgrades.
Other notable elements include 4-player, online and local, same-screen co-op and a new apprentice mode, which boosts new players if they want to play alongside high-leveled characters.
The Xbox One and PS4 versions will go for $60, with the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions at $40.
