'Dark Souls' Director Hidetaka Miyazaki Appointed President of From Software

Kadokawa Games acquisition continuing to shape From Software.

From Software, the developer behind the 'Souls' titles, is going through some changes post acquisition by Kadokawa Games. Hidetaka Miyazaki, who directed both 'Dark Souls' and 'Demon's Souls,' has been appointed as From Software President.

While the developer is known for seminal hits like 'Dark Souls II,' it has also produced some critical failure titles like the Kinect powered 'Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor.' With Miyazaki at the helm, it's possible that games along the lines of the 'Souls' series may now be the full focus with multiple teams working on multiple projects. It has been rumored that Sony will introduce a From Software PS4 exclusive at E3.
