The acclaimed actor best known for starring in 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers' has passed away.

News is reporting that Kevin McCarthy, also fondly remembered as the mad scientist in 'Piranha,' has died.

McCarthy was nominated for a Best Supporting Oscar in 1951 for 'Death of a Salesman.'
