The 'Space Chimps' are coming to high-def, with Fox setting a late-November Blu-ray bow for the all-CGI animated adventure.
Despite having the misfortune to open this past summer against 'The Dark Knight,' 'Space Chimps' still managed to eke out a respectable $30 million box office gross. The family comedy is likely to perform far better on video, however, when Fox debuts the Blu-ray November 25 (day-and-date with the standard DVD).
Filled with "bonus features the whole family will go bananas over," both versions share a "Fox Movie Channel Presents: Casting Session" featurette, a still gallery and TV spots.
Exclusive to the Blu-ray is the BD-Java-based "Trivia Blast Off" trivia track featuring on-screen facts about space travel and the NASA Space Program.
Tech specs feature a BD-25 single-layer presentation with 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 Surround audio.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray has been set at $39.99.
