Adding to its now-growing line-up of future high-def releases, Image
Entertainment has announced the Sarah Michelle Gellar/Alec Baldwin direct-to-video premiere 'Suburban
Girl' will debut on Blu-ray in early 2008.
Based on the best-selling
novel "The Girl's Guide to Hunting & Fishing," 'Suburban Girl'
debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year, garnering mixed critical notices, and will now hit the US as a direct-to-video premiere.
Though Image is currently format-neutral, the 'Suburban Girl's next-gen debut
will continue the indie distributor's recent split-release pattern of issuing theatrical and special interest titles on Blu-ray only ,
while releasing selections from its vast music library exclusively to
HD DVD.
Tech specs and supplemental details
have yet to be announced for 'Suburban Girl,' but stay tuned.
Image has set a $32.98 list price for the Blu-ray version.
You'll find disc details for 'Suburban Girl' linked from our Blu-ray
