On the eve of its next-gen launch, Criterion has bumped the release of its initial wave of Blu-ray titles by over a month.

As first announced earlier this Fall, Criterion had planned a batch of five classic titles for Blu-ray release this month, with all now being pushed back to later in the year.

Order 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows'

Coming to Blu-ray June 12th

'The Third Man', 'The Man Who Fell to Earth,' 'Bottle Rocket', and 'Chungking Express,' have all now been bumped to December 16. 'The Last Emperor,' will follow on January 6.

Criterion has not cited any reason for the delay, nor any changes in specs or pricing information. As always, we'll keep you posted of any changes or further delays to Criterion's line-up.

In light of the news, we've updated the listings for all five titles in our Blu-ray Release Schedule, which now reflects the new street dates.
