Bill Murray fans can now relive 'Groundhog Day' over and over again in high-def, with Sony setting a late-January Blu-ray date for the classic comedy.
The beloved Harold Ramis-directed sci-fi romance will make its Blu-ray debut on January 27 with plenty of bonus features and all-new exclusive content. (Sony previously issued a special edition DVD in 2003.)
Tech specs will see a BD-50 dual-layer presentation with 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video (1.85:1) and English Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround audio.
Extras from the previous DVD release include Audio commentary with director Harold Ramis, "The Weight of Time" documentary, two featurettes ("A Different Day:," "Study of Groundhogs") and deleted scenes.
Exclusive to the Blu-ray is the "Needle Nose Ned's Picture in Picture" track (Bonus View), and BD-Live interconnectivity.
Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $28.95.
