Three new AV home theater components have been detailed.
Onkyo has announced the latest additions to its RZ Series of home theater devices. The new lineup includes the THX Select2 Plus-certified 11.2-channel TX-RZ3100 Network A/V Receiver, the 9.2-channel TX-RZ1100 Network A/V Receiver, and the flagship THX Ultra2 Plus-certified 11.2-channel PR-RZ5100 Network A/V Controller.
The new RZ Series audio components are designed with custom integration in mind, offering installation friendly features and connectivity options like RS-232, IR and 12v triggers as well as PC setup, detachable power cables and optional rack kits. All three models include 11.2 channel preamp RCA outputs along with built in support for both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X object based immersive audio formats. Likewise, each device uses AKM 384kHz/32-bit digital-to-analog conversion technology and VLSC noise-free processing on all channels. In addition, the TX-RZ3100 and the TX-RZ1100 both feature a new Onkyo Hi-Current Digital Amplification system that pairs with AccuEQ and AccuReflex technologies.
Google Cast, AirPlay, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Spotify, TIDAL, TuneIn, and Pandora support are included on all three models as well (though some will be added via future firmware updates). Finally, the new RZ series AV products also include HDCP 2.2 compatibility and several 4k video playback features over HDMI including support for BT.2020 color, High Dynamic Range, 4:4:4 color space, and 4K/60 Hz.
Onkyo's 11.2-channel TX-RZ3100 Network A/V Receiver (MSRP: $3,199), 9.2-channel TX-RZ1100 Network A/V Receiver (MSRP: $2,199) and 11.2-channel PR-RZ5100 Network A/V Controller (MSRP: $2,399) will start shipping next month. In addition to the new RZ Series products, Onkyo also recently released the HT-S7800 5.1.2 Channel Network Home Theater System ($899) and the HT-S3800 5.1 Channel Home Theater System ($399).
