'A Letter to Three Wives' Dated for Blu-ray[teaser]Joseph L. Mankiewicz's 1949 drama is bound for Blu-ray this September. [/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, 20th Century Fox is preparing 'A Letter to Three Wives' for Blu-ray on September 17. As three women head off on a boating trip with a group of children, they receive a letter written by a woman claiming to have stolen one of their husbands. Which one? The letter doesn't say. Faced with the prospect of a shattered life, each woman soul searches throughout the day: Deborah Bishop (Jeanne Crain) feels inadequate amidst her husband's (Jeffrey Lynn) country club set. Everyone sees Lora Mae Hollingsway (Linda Darnell) as a gold digger, including her husband (Paul Douglas). And Rita Phipps (Ann Sothern) has a career that makes her husband (Kirk Douglas) feel neglected to the point of infidelity. All three endure the anguish of uncertainty until the boat trip ends - and the truth is revealed. 'Under the Dome: Season 1' Blu-ray Pre-Orders Live![teaser]Two Blu-ray editions of the hit series from the mind of Stephen King are now available for pre-order at Amazon! [/teaser] The online retailer is already taking pre-orders for 'Under the Dome: Season 1' as well as a 'Limited Collector's Edition' for a release sometime in the coming months. Based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, 'Under the Dome' follows the story of a community in Maine that gets cut off from the rest of the world when a mysterious force field forms around the town. The premiere episode which debuted on CBS on June 24 (with 13.5 million viewers) is available to stream for free at Amazon. However, if you're an Amazon Prime member, all episodes will be available to stream for free to Prime members four days after their premiere over the air. Non-Prime members will be able to purchase individual episodes for an undetermined price. Specs, supplements, and a release date have not been set yet, but the Collector's Edition will come packaged inside a cool mini post-dome replica of Chester's Mill. 'Bates Motel: Season One' Announced and Detailed for Blu-ray[teaser]The smash hit new series starring Freddie Highmore as a young Norman Bates and Vera Farmiga as his unbalanced mother will be checking in to Blu-ray in September! [/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, Universal Studios has revealed 'Bates Motel: Season One' will have a Blu-ray release on September 17. This re-imagining of one of Hitchcock's beloved masterpieces weaves a web of deception, murder, and unexpected twists in a small town where nothing is what it seems. The first ten episodes of the popular series also stars Nestor Carbonell ('Lost'), Max Thieriot ('House at the End of the Street'), Mike Vogel ('Cloverfield'), Nicola Peltz ('The Last Airbender') and Olivia Cooke ('Blackout'). [/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, Eagle Rock has slated 'The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert' for a Blu-ray release on September 3. On April 20th 1992, Roger Taylor, Brian May and John Deacon, the surviving members of Queen, took to the stage at Wembley Stadium for the start of one of the biggest events in rock history, which the band had organized to pay tribute to their former colleague – the incomparable Freddie Mercury. Queen were joined by some of the greatest musical talent in the world to celebrate Freddie's life and work and to increase public awareness of AIDS, the disease that had prematurely ended his life the previous year. The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert features many Queen classics in unique performances including: "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Hammer To Fall", "Crazy Little Thing Called Love", "Radio Ga Ga", "I Want To Break Free", "Under Pressure", "Somebody To Love", "We Will Rock You", "We Are The Champions" and many more.
