Netflix Teases Marvel's 'The Defenders,' Streaming Premiere Set for August 18[teaser]The superhero team-up series will hit Netflix in August.[/teaser] Netflix has released a new viral teaser for its upcoming miniseries, The Defenders. Featuring security cam footage of the show's four stars in an elevator, the clip ends on the time stamp 08:18:20:17, revealing the series' August 18 premiere date. The Defenders will feature a crossover team-up between Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist as they face their biggest threat yet. Douglas Petrie (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Marco Ramirez (Orange is the New Black) are on board as showrunners. In addition, Petrie, Ramirez, Drew Goddard (The Martian, Lost, Alias), and Jeph Loeb will all serve as Executive Producers for the mini-series. The show is being produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios for Netflix. Check out the teaser below! The upcoming miniseries will star Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, Finn Jones, Deborah Ann Woll, Simone Missick, Elden Henson, Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Rachael Taylor, Rosario Dawson, Scott Glenn, Jessica Henwick, and Elodie Yung -- all reprising their respective roles from various Marvel series on Netflix. Likewise, Marvel also revealed that Sigourney Weaver will join the cast as an unspecified villain. BritBox Streaming Service Adds Classic 'Doctor Who' Serials[teaser]The TARDIS has arrived on BritBox.[/teaser] BritBox has announced the addition of classic Doctor Who to its streaming lineup. The SVOD service is now the exclusive US streaming home to nearly all of the surviving 1963 - 1989 Doctor Who episodes. In addition, the platform continues to offer an extensive digital catalogue of British content through an ad-free subscription plan. Covering the adventures of the first seven doctors, the catalog features all of the surviving complete serials from the classic era, but does not include serials with missing episodes or the recently reconstructed The Power of the Daleks. With that said, the service does eventually plan to add audio versions of missing episodes. Likewise, the catalog also includes extra Doctor Who related programs like the recent TV move, An Adventure in Space and Time. Beyond the new addition of classic Doctor Who, BritBox includes streaming access to several drama premieres never-before-seen in the US, including New Blood, Tutankhamun, The Moonstone, and In The Dark, along with season premieres of drama favorites like Cold Feet and Silent Witness. The NS-SW050 ($170) and NS-SW100 ($200) Powered Subwoofers are now available from authorized Yamaha retailers. Amazon Renews Football Documentary Series 'All or Nothing'[teaser]The Emmy-nominated docuseries will return for a second season.[/teaser] Amazon has announced a season two pick-up for its original documentary show, All or Nothing. The new season will focus on the LA Rams' entire 2016 season, beginning with the team's relocation back to Los Angeles and ending with the hiring of a new head coach and preparations for the 2017 season. "All or Nothing brings Amazon Prime members a deep dive into the lives of professional athletes," said Conrad Riggs, Head of Unscripted, Amazon Originals. "We are excited to highlight the LA Rams in season two, a team with a compelling story of relocation, rebuilding and reuniting with the city they once again call home." Produced by NFL Films, All or Nothing: A Season with the Los Angeles Rams is executive produced by Ross Ketover (Hard Knocks, Inside the NFL), and Pat Kelleher (Hard Knocks, 30 for 30 - Four Falls of Buffalo). The showrunner is Keith Cossrow (A Football Life). Directors are Shannon Furman and Pat Harris. Supervising producer is Bennett Viseltear and senior producer is Nick Mascolo. A bunch of Satanists in the American rural landscape have terrible powers which enable them to melt their victims. However one of the children of an earlier victim vows to destroy them. Patriarch Steve Preston goes missing and worried mom Emma (Ida Lupino) sends eldest son Mark (William Shatner) in search of his father. Suddenly, a dying, eyeless Steve returns and demands that the family: "Give Corbis what belongs to him!" before dissolving into a gelatinous meltdown. Corbis (Ernest Borgnine) is a Satanic priest hell-bent on recovering a valuable book listing the names of those who sold their souls to the devil... a book that resides with the Preston family. Mark refuses to hand it over and puts up a brave fight, only to wind up an unwilling sacrifice.
