The new monitor is designed for professional applications.
ViewSonic has announced the release of its latest display model. With an emphasis on color accuracy and uniformity, The VP2771 is geared toward graphic designers, video editors, and other professional content creators.
"Uniformity and color accuracy are critical features for creative professionals, so we engineered the new VP2771 to be packed with color critical technologies," said Kenneth Mau, senior product marketing manager at ViewSonic Americas. "Any work done on a less-than-accurate monitor can cause incorrect color adjustments. ViewSonic's integrated color technologies ensure consistent color and luminance across the screen."
The VP2771 is a 27-inch monitor with an edge-to-edge SuperClear IPS panel, a WQHD resolution of 2560x1440 pixels, and a 16:9 aspect ratio. Likewise, the display features an ultra-wide viewing angle of 178-degrees, a 1000:1 contrast, and a 5ms response time. In addition, the device comes factory calibrated to deliver a precise Delta E≤2 value for superior color precision of sRGB, EBU, SMPTE-C, REC709 and DICOM-SIM color spaces. A color uniformity function is integrated as well, ensuring consistent chromaticity across the screen, along with a 14-bit 3D look-up table and a 6-axis color adjustment feature. Finally, the unit also includes a USB 3.1 Type C input, DisplayPort, MHL 2.0, HDMI, and mini DisplayPort connections.
The ViewSonic VP2771 is on sale now for $520. In addition, the company also recently announced several upcoming Quad HD and 4K monitors designed for professional and entertainment applications, including the VP3881 ($1,999), VP3268-4K ($1,359), and VX2781-UC ($749). All three monitors will be available in June. And beyond the new displays, ViewSonic also revealed its upcoming PX Series PX800HD Ultra-Short Throw Projector, which is set to launch in March for an MSRP of $1,299.
