A big week for the Xbox One.
It's October, and that means a few things. Leading up to the end of the month is Halloween, and Halloween is a time to cut-loose and let your freak flag fly. What better time to unleash 'Sunset Overdrive' onto the world? It’s been a long time coming, but now, millions of players will get to fight energy drink mutated hordes, and grind from one over-the-top satirical touch to another.
'Lords of the Fallen' is a new IP from CI Games and Bandai Namco. The action RPG is set to take players from the human realm to the demonic, and then back again. The game's third-person action RPG style and visuals have invited comparison with the 'Dark Souls' series. Of course, unlike the 'Souls' games, 'Lords of the Fallen' is only for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC platforms.
The NBA preseason is well underway, and as the month edges to a close, it's time to see if 'NBA Live 15'is finally up to the standards set back in the 90's. EA has promised that this year, the game will be a visual leap over last year's game, but will that be enough to float a AAA b-ball game?
It's been two years since 'The Unfinshed Swan' debuted on the PS3 as part of an indie movement that saw unconventional and cerebral games be sold on AAA consoles. Now it's time for the PS4 and Vita. The PS4 version will arrive in 1080p, but otherwise will still be the same white space kingdom that Giant Sparrow crafted for the PS3. The game is price at $14.99, but is a cross-buy title. Anyone who already owns the game on the PS3 will now own a version for the PS4 and Vita.
From the ashes of THQ comes 'MX vs. ATV: Supercross.' New publisher, Nordic Games, has been described as reigniting developer Rainbow Studios passion for the series, and the new game arrives packed with 17 Supercross tracks and more than 60 real-life drivers. PC version not due out until 2015.
