The CG flick will hit Ultra HD Blu-ray and Blu-ray in July.
In an early announcement to retailers, Sony is preparing Resident Evil: Vendetta for Blu-ray and Ultra HD Blu-ray on July 18. In addition, a Best Buy Exclusive Ultra HD Blu-ray SteelBook will also be available. This will be the first Ultra HD Blu-ray release from Sony to feature Dolby Vision.
BSAA Chris Redfield enlists the help of government agent Leon S. Kennedy and Professor Rebecca Chambers from Alexander Institute of Biotechnology to stop a death merchant with a vengeance from spreading a deadly virus in New York.
The Ultra HD Blu-ray will feature 2160p video with Dolby Vision HDR and a Dolby Atmos soundtrack. Supplements will include:
- Three Featurettes
- Still gallery (30 sketches/designs)
- Filmmaker Audio Commentary (in Japanese) with Director Takanori Tsujimoto, Executive Producer Takashi Shimizu and Writer Makoto Fukami
- BONUS DISC with three featurettes
A suggested list price has not been announced yet.
